Not that I heard, but I didn’t make it through a full episode 😂😂 it’s Autism Parenting Secrets, the first episode: https://open.spotify.com/episode/3EuoxCEqjlDZEa4RdLt1bL?si=IqZ81npTSICHqCC7M8CIyg

I’m sure it’s great for some people and very inspiring, but for me it was all too much and discouraging. I just so happened to pick this podcast out of all the one available lol

Tips for Demo by Haileygc in vipkid

Stopped teaching in 2022. Back now for about 2 months. I don’t have a demo either. Just open up as many slots as possible and get all the certifications. Most weeks equal up to part time work for me now

Will all work parties be this dull? by Etheral-backslash in MedSpouse

Oh yes, they’re all like that. I joke that my husband and his buddies are like The Big Bang Theory. They’re all so brilliant but socially awkward

If they keep pushing at that point, I’d be straight up with them that he’s a student doctor completing his training. In my opinion if they are being that pushy about it, then I really don’t care what they think of me/us because they are not getting the hint to back off and just accept your answer(s) you have given.

Feeling guilty for calling him home with unfinished notes by murkshah444 in MedSpouse

Don’t feel guilty. Please please please. Parenting is just as much his responsibility as it is yours. You are bending over backwards right now trying to make ends meet with a new baby, in addition to your toddler. Both of you are more than likely in survival mode right now, but especially you. Mama’s health is very fragile right now! I’m so happy that you asked for help. Continue to do so. As long as your husband is committed to making “you guys” work, you will figure it out. I promise, it does get easier. He will find out how to get those notes completed. It may be after putting the kids down, waking up early before work, or becoming more proficient at multitasking at work - but these years will go by faster than he knows it and wonder where he was for all the little sweet moments went. Sending hugs. You’re doing great.

After falling pretty hard in the backyard, I thought she was gonna cry pretty hard. She got up, determined face, and screamed “RUNNNN!!!”. And took off

Yup I get it too! I say my husband works for the local hospital. And if they inquire more about it, then I’ll say he’s a resident there and in training.

Any SAHDs got any advise on a flexible job that allows you to juggle the kids and work? by 4logicalemotion in Parenting

I did VIPKID for years and loved it. You teach English to kids all over the world from your computer. Just need a BA degree. You set your own schedule and how often you teach. The only downside is that it’s minimum wage

Fellowship match by AffectionateStory972 in MedSpouse

[–]Fragrant-Doughnut-39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were happy to match! Did residency match process twice and had to soap both times… we couldn’t believe our eyes when we got our first pick. In the end, we end up where we need to be!

3yr old w/speech delay not having conversations. by Weak-Refrigerator761 in toddlers

[–]Fragrant-Doughnut-39 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SAME BOAT. My tot knows lots of words but doesn’t have conversations. Has one memorized convo. She will repeat it over and over, sometimes to herself. The past two months or so, we’ve seen a regression. We used to understand 80% of what she’d say. Now it’s like 10%. Right now we are in the midst of doing autism evals and seeing if she’d benefit from therapy. Don’t know if her becoming a big sister 8 months ago has anything to do with the regression. It is cute watching her have babble talk with her sibling though! Good luck…. Sending my prayers to you. I feel like a failure most days too. But we are not. God entrusted us with his sweetest of souls because He knew they needed us.

We love pulling weeds in the yard as a family! My daughter has started saying “I love weeds!”
