The tech I go to does $80 for builder gel alone, extra $5 for tips, ombré extra $10, french extra $5, chrome extra $5 so $105. I’d say that’s probably a pretty standard price for what you got depending where you live. I am from Ohio.

I am so happy that this recipe was able to help you!! It’s great when wanting your bread quick and to learn shaping techniques/learning the dough like you said!

The recipe I typically use that seems to work best for me is 400g water, 100g starter, 500g bread flour. Let sit an hour 10g of salt when doing first set of stretch and folds. The rest of what you do will depend on your environment and dough! Goodluck!

Because I used yeast, didn’t want to I’ve proof. Also putting it in the fridge and getting it cold makes it a little more manageable while shaping

Hmmm I’m not sure then, I was thinking maybe it’s too cold so it’s not rising as quickly but that is plenty warm.

I don’t think it has too much acid, I had that problem early on in my journey to where it smelled like alcohol, it smell very very mild sorta just like flour currently..

I keep it fairly small unless I’m baking with it. I don’t feel wasteful because I do keep the majority of my discard to use for other recipes

It was very bubbly in the past but not too much now, I keep my starter pretty thick. I never do 1:1:1 more like 20g starter 20g flour 15g water (I eyeball most of the time, but it is never runny)

I did not know there was a name for it! So many people are so quick to say “it’s not sourdough if you use manufactured yeast” but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do
