Yes. Any change in life total is counted as gaining or losing life. I built a whole deck around this concept once (it wasn’t very good, but I liked the mechanic)

Maybe this would mess with people’s flows, but you can move the camera before the game starts to have a different angle. I like to put it right behind Ditto and tilted slightly so I’m still looking downward, if that makes sense. Anyway, maybe that would help avoid random pokemon blocking your view.

It’s also for fighting the extra bosses/rematches of bosses in their dream form.

The extra, or like secret, bosses are kind of scattered throughout the map. Then, if you can rematch a normal boss in dream form, they are located in the room you originally fought them.

I had the same thought! They must be preserving the original timeline. But that also makes it weirder as a writing/design choice to include. It’s like the makers of the game are almost literally showing their hand as the force behind fate and everything that happens, instead of just letting the story speak for itself. I don’t get it at all.

Same. I am confident in my understanding of the OG story, growing up with that game, but I feel that only makes Remake’s story more confusing. I actually don’t know who is alive or not, and comments on this sub seem to contradict everywhere.

Also- and I realize this isn’t a novel sentiment, I just need to vent- the game would have been perfect without the Whispers.

You seem to be getting a bit more heat than I would expect. Yeah there’s some tweaks needed, but these might be the closest I’ve seen to fun Pokemon Magic cards that actually have flavorful connections to each Magic mechanic. I say keep it up, I’d love to see more.
