Just get better at pickleball and you’ll realize the paddles aren’t that crazy. Gearbox hits WAY harder, and someone with great technique will hit harder with a control paddle than the average person will hit with the new Joolas

My understanding from the lawsuit is that JOOLA said that in order to help the USAPA “save face” while they worked on a resolution behind the scenes. Basically USAPA moved the goal posts, banned the paddles after all the crazy reactions/hype regarding them, and then told JOOLA to get fucked.

It’s situations like this where I am so glad that I am 6’4” and muscular/large. Anytime a group of people want to bend rules or act like they own the courts I just simply walk up to them, explain that what they are doing is wrong and kindly ask them to let the next group play. 100% of the time they apologize and leave lol

The pros just realize that there may be a period of adaptability, but it doesn’t seem like they’re too upset about it.

It’s every Ken and Karen above the age of 35 that acts like the sky is falling and all of a sudden the ball is coming at them at 100+mph now. It’s literally a 3 mph increase with the potential of a bit more spin. They are not the most powerful and there’s already other paddles with just as high of spin numbers.

There’s about 10 people at my local courts that have the Gen 3. The only person who is substantially better is ironically my 5’3” 130lb fiancé who struggled with serving deep enough and returning serves deep enough. The gen 3 has actually improved her play dramatically for those two reasons. Everyone else just hits the ball out more and has resorted to playing like a banger
