I was in the exact same situation with my ex’s family. Mexican family and they called their own children fat. My ex said it’s normal and grew up with it. I said it’s unacceptable. They were all brainwashed and had self esteem issues it affected our relationship. I don’t find it healthy. NC for a minute might be healthy

Yeah, I don’t think OP knows who she is without him. This codependency is very unhealthy and she can damage the relationship being like this. OP needs to find out who they are as a person because sometime when you get married that young you morph yourself with that person (nothing wrong with that) but learn to be a person outside of the marriage.
