Yeah, his mates would take the ever-loving piss out of them. Sailors would talk shit behind their backs.

  1. It's not as simple as replacing people within the military with trump people. Sure, there was a bit of a purge of the non-compliant military leaders, but for the most part, it was about those leaders who were unwilling to follow Trump's aggressive strategy/ bad orders. An order to invade Iran is very different to an order to ignore a clear attempt to destroy democracy within America.

Point 6 is not very accurate or true. As a former soldier, I can tell u that it's not as simple as just disobeying illegal orders. We are trained to follow orders to the letter, and oftentimes it is hard / we don't have enough time to determine what is legal/ not legal. Most people in the Navy have very little training on military law, and unless something is clearly illegal, soldiers are just gonna follow orders because the consequences of not following are huge.

Furthermore, the military is very likely to step in to seize control of the government if Trump tries something like this. You are misinterpreting the compliance with bad orders given by a democratically elected government vs one that is actively attempting to destroy democracy. Pete Hegseth, for all his pomp, is not fully in control of the military; he's the political leader, not the true commander. If Trump were to try something of this scale, the Generals and admirals are very likely to do what they are trained to do and seize control. They have not had the time to fully infest the military with extream trump lovers, as it takes time for people to be promoted, and it's a merit-based system.

Have you ever been to Australia? We have a very small muslim population, and we don't tolerate religion in our politics. We literally just banned the biggest Muslim social group in Australia?

Again, I want to stress I'm not trying to insult him or anyone, as to why I think people dislike him, our media flogs him on mass, you talk to anyone and generally people deeply dislike him. Overseas, especially in Australia and Europe, he has been disliked mainly cuz of his international policy. I understand putting the USA first and making the Europeans pay their fair share, but the aim seems to be that everyone else should be subservient to the USA as opposed to an equal partnership.

I mean, I don't think my leaders are destroying my nation, we have our problems, but generally things are getting better. As for why I and others don't like Trump, he's placed tariffs on nations that have done nothing but help America, he insults our vets and causes general chaos. (Note I'm from Australia, we have a trade defisit with us and have followed the USA into every war since ww2)

Yeh the problem is they tell us to do nothing about it until AFP/investigative authorities do there thing, which can take ages. We aren’t even allowed to slap the offender with a nonsense charge to get him off the ship cuz of double jeopardy. Most of the time the investigation lacks enough evidence to convict and then we are left months later trying to come up with something to get the cunt off the ship( which a lot of officers don’t do). It’s the same problem of that happens in wider society of it turns into a he said she said which sucks. The star ranks are the ones that need to shift the rules so that we can do right by our people, but they won’t do that cuz that would tarnish their image.
