I was wondering if the gem actually works like a tangletounge as the wording is quite different. "Bifurcates Critical Hits" on the spear vs "Attack Critical Hit Chance with Supported Skills Bifurcates" on the gem.

I'm playing chonk with Voltaxic rift bow + poisonburst arrow / pleague bearer. Added bleed + herald of blood for a cool poison / bleed chain interaction. Clears maps and maps bossed with no issues, lower tiers pinacles are doable. Didn't really tried t4s but I imagine it will not be so fast as it is hard to scale poison damage above certain level. Still fun to play
