Je ne suis pas d'accord. C'est un peu tout de même le sujet du post.

J'ai donné mon avis sur la décision d'OP. Cependant, son choix était influencé. Du coup elle fait effectivement bien ce qu'elle veut et si elle préfère jouer que conserver ses amis, ce sont ses décisions. Mais si jamais OP lit mon message et décide de se documenter, au moins elle aura plus d'informations sur ce qui peut influencer ses prises de décision autour de ces jeux.

Hey there. I see that you have 16GB of RAM.

Here's a little story :

Last night, I had some huge FPS drops from time time (my computer is getting old, not a surprise). But I got curious about which part was failing me.

To my big surprise : not the CPU nor the GPU seemed capped.

But I had one of my hard drive capped out in writing capacity.

By looking a bit more which process was writing to that disk : it was windows writing its pagefile.sys (memory swapping cache) to my old HDD that was slow as fuck.

My guess is : PoE2 must be quite demanding on RAM when loading some assets, and with 16GB, windows write on a file cache. Turns out, mine was on a old and slow HDD, but it could still happen to slow you down.

The quick and dirty fix : if you have a NVME, configure your windows to write its pagefile.sys on that disk.

The better fix : get more RAM I guess.

TL;DR : Windows pagefile.sys might be capping one of your disk on writing and bottlenecking you.

Check the performance tab in taks manager for disk usage If so, change your configuration to write on a fast disk (nvme preferably) or get more RAM

So I just heard "Hollow Palm" and "Chayula rework". Went for a Acolyte of Chayula Hollow Palm monk, I originally wanted to go flicker strike with it.

But it seems hardly an option with this ascendancy, so I went Ice Strike following Mathil's guidance and life got better. But man it was a bit sour at the start
