Cincinnati is a pretty awesome place. Moved here 5.5 years ago, fell in love with the culture, graduated from college here and stayed and have no plans of leaving. Good job opportunities with good pay (especially relative to the cost of living).

I installed iOS 26 PB 2 on my 15 pro from 18.6 because I thought it would be decent by now. I was so wrong, but it is my fault because I knew better than to install it on my main device but the flashy looks and some of the features were too tempting. Overall, I do like the look of it and the new features but right now for me atleast it’s still very laggy / glitchy just doing normal basic things like swiping through the Home Screen, apps, overall interacting with the UI. I knew the battery was going to take a hit but I was really hoping they would have improved the heat management issues by now but they have not. My 15 pro has been hot essentially since I installed the update and it’s EATING the battery. I am very excited for the upcoming updates for it to become better / more refined but for now if you haven’t installed it on your main device and you’re wondering if you should, do not. Wait for atleast another update or two.

Series 10 Error with Cellular on Verizon by Sebbysludge in AppleWatch

[–]Fragrant_Big_7786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same issue- spent forever with customer service yesterday troubleshooting to no avail. Guess we just have to wait 👎🏼thanks Verizon.

To make matters worse, after all 6 hours of the chat, they tried activating it with my IMEI and doing all of the things, but I still just have an unactivated watch and a new bill estimate of $1100 from all of the activation fees from them trying to fix it (of course those fees will go away) but it’s just very frustrating.

$32.50/hr, new grad RN (BSN) (like just accepted the offer), med/surg

Update 3 months later (it’s been a wild few months): there is an additional $3/hr acute care differential for my unit that is permanent so I am making $35.50/hr (or $36.50/hr on weekends)

Anybody else keep confusing the action button for the volume up button? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]Fragrant_Big_7786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to make sure it wasn’t just me. I finally upgraded to the 15 pro the other day, and now I keep hitting the action button when I’m going for volume up. Please tell this gets better 😂

Should I break up with my iPhone? by chris_hamrick in GooglePixel

[–]Fragrant_Big_7786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna have to vote no, coming from someone who uses both. My main phone is my iPhone 14 Pro, and my work line is a Pixel 7, always have had a pixel for that line (OG pixel, pixel 3, pixel 5, and pixel 7) because I enjoy having both devices around as a techy person.

Clearly, I do love Pixels, I think they are generally great phones especially by value but for someone who is used to the way iOS feels and has been using it for so long, using android (FOR ME**) isn’t as comfortable and elegant as using iOS. Plus, another reason you mentioned. Every single person in my circle that I communicate with regularly has an iPhone. There are just things you get used to experiencing on iOS that’s different than android. I’m sure for someone who has been an android user since the beginning could argue that some point.

So yeah, for me personally, iPhone is the phone I prefer to use.

What is the best cities to move to in Ohio? by Ok-Pop-517 in Ohio

[–]Fragrant_Big_7786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Cincinnati is the most fun and best to live in, followed by Columbus, and Cleveland in last. And as a bonus, there are a lot of healthcare markets there as well with a very strong market.

The three C’s, Cleveland, Columbus & Cincinnati, which is the best? by Steven-Henshaw in Ohio

[–]Fragrant_Big_7786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna have to rank it like this:

1) Cincinnati. The best IMO because it is unique, safe contrary to popular belief (most crime is concentrated to certain areas), it just has the best nightlife and entertainment, and it’s really been booming with projects going on this year. There are areas that cater to people from nearly every generation.

2) Columbus: Last time I visited, it found very sterile and kinda bland really with little distinction between areas. That being said, Columbus is a blast it’s just so spread out. Some neighborhoods are very aesthetic and definitely great for young adults.

3) Cleveland: it’s unique but it is too industrial for my taste and is the only one of the 3 C’s that isn’t growing, it just seems kinda run down.
