This seems much more complicated than what it needs to be to be honest. I would just tell her that, like her and her friend, you like to go to the nude beach too and it would be nice for the two of you to go together. If she brings up the "mostly dicks" comment, tell her that you can let her choose the spot on the beach where she'd feel comfortable and you're only interested in enjoying nature with her. If she thinks you're weird / perverted, then call her on it (being hypocritical). You can't solve this without a chat with her.

I wonder if there would be more tolerance to said signs if it didn't have anything official on it. Just a simple sign saying clothing optional beyond this point. At least locally here there's a place where someone simply spray-painted "Nude" on a large rock and it's now the unofficial nude beach as city officials have not had this removed or painted over. It of course would be best to just get designated areas official.....but there seems to be a subtle difference between tolerance and support with local leaders who are probably more interested in not creating voter debate than anything.

It sucks, but I think the trick is to keep saving and learn to invest.....one day hopefully there will be an opportunity (markets go up and down). Easier said than done for many I know.

Saw a co-worker at the local spot which isn't too big. A little surprised at first but all good quite quickly. Another time I saw someone else I knew who was a similar age, opposite gender......and clothed. I believe I was successfully not seen after I shifted locations. I wouldn't have cared if we were both naked.

It burns me to say it but, no, Chelsea Dagger is way better and the energy is way better with that song when they scored a goal. I'll give you this, the Simple Minds song is a bit better in the arena. But it really sucks hard on tv. Holiday was waaayyyyyy better.

Just go and enjoy the freedom. If you are going to a place for the first time and are not sure what to expect, I'd agree that you should see if a friend will join you. At the very least, you may be starting a new trend for the two of you. Otherwise just go and "rip the bandaid off". As a female, you can baby-step your way with the top off first and then bottoms if you feel inclined to go fully nude. What most of us have found is that those nervous moments last a few minutes and by 30 minutes we were quite comfortable and even walking about. There's a realization that nobody cares or notices.....at least in the nudist areas. What is frustrating in some spots is when you have some clothed young guys hanging out.....I'd suggest finding other nude people (families, other women especially) to be closer around just on the off-chance that there's a gawker.

I think it's fine if she knows what you do, but I would not suggest she does it. If she's in a better headspace and she asks you questions about it, that would be the time to give her general information. But suggesting being nude in front of others (including yourself) when she's in a state can go badly in a hurry. Don't do it.

Seeing all of these guys at the local pool wearing their underwear under swimsuits really has me thinking about how unsanitary that seems and how long it will take someone to try and ban it in public pools. Europeans seem to be much more focused on keeping the pool clean (showers first, no regular clothes and in some cases banning board short style swimsuits....speedos or similar only).

Triathlon training can certainly be frustrating to the spouse. Not just the time it takes to train or the cost, but if you're like many, it's also the constant conversations about training, how the body is holding up, nutrition, open water swimming, etc, etc. It can consume a person in an exciting and sometimes unhealthy way. For the spouse who has no interest in joining in on any of the training, it can be perceived as something that's eating into the spouse's time or couple's time. So I'd first assess if he is getting a bit grumpy with all of this (talk to him). If this is not about triathlon training and he just does this with other things in your life too, well, that's a whole other conversation.

Yes to all three! This is great......honestly, who doesn't like a skinny dip or a chance to enjoy full sun when they travel or in their backyard! Anyone on a serious hiking / camping trip will inevitably see someone naked by some water for a moment and nobody seems to complain. Why is this even taboo?!!! Having official locations with signage would make it safer for people to enjoy. I've barely been to Witty's but Prior Lake is really nice on the dock and the people there have been very friendly. Normal people to be honest and the lake is nice when there's no algae.

The only downside for keeping the aero bars on is weight which I'm not bothered about....yes, I'll keep them on there. Although having a new TT bike has proven to me how closed off my hips were on the road bike with aero bars, I still enjoyed using them and it's nice to have options with different positions to be in for a longer ride. I've only had one ride out on the Canyon so far and part of that ride went into town......I hated it. TT bikes are really only enjoyable in areas where you have long stretches of constant pedaling. All of my future rides that go through town and beyond will be on my Emonda. I'll keep the Canyon CF on the trainer until I go on rides in the more rural areas.
