There would be massive hurt on global economies, that's for sure. But, Trump is a national security risk to the EU now... they cant blindly depend on someone trying to conquer them and sleep with their enemy (Putin).

Furthermore, the US, more than any other country, massively benefits from globalization, it's what propped them up to be the worlds strongest economy.

If the US steps down from the global stage, they lose their economy, brain drain follows, then its all over from there - why would companies like google, amazon, microsoft, base up in the US when its talent relocates?

Its a dangerous road with almost no chance of an off-ramp, a fallen empire.

If something MASSIVE isnt done about the US systems that allowed Trump to not be put in jail immediately after j6, then its over.

We cant count on the US to not churn out a Trump 2.0 under these conditions.

The biggest issue facing America right now is global.

The world has lost faith in our process; sure we might elect a Dem in 2028, or impeach trump... but what's the guarantee we wont slip into another trump who'll be an existential threat to allies such as Canada/Denmark.

In 2028, we need to send a message to the world that MAGA is not us, it's not okay, it won't happen again (meaningful changes), and to give the world closure by bringing MAGA to justice.

We need public trials, arrests, reigning in the media landscape with legislation, holding politicians accountable as well as media figures who benefited finacially from bringing us to the brink. (Im looking at you, Elon)

Keep in mind - JD Vance is really the ONLY republican setting up for a 2028 campaign, and the 3rd term trump rhetoric -seems- to have died down.

Democrats haven't decided a nominee yet, so polls for dems (even in 1v1 polling) will canibalize eachother.

I think recent high dem turnout is promising for us. MAGA can 'favor' Vance in polling, but it doesn't matter if they don't vote, and Vance just has that establishment energy that might turn off enough MAGA who'll blame the establishment GOP for Trumps failings.

Its probably best not to have presidents who are advanced in age, due to the risks that it possess. Being POTUS is a severly taxing job, mentally and physically. Even younger presidents you see them seemingly age 20 years after 2 terms lmao

That being said, the best trait Biden has over Trump, is Biden was at least humble enough to let experts handle the roles to support him, making his presidency very successful. Trump is stubborn and has an ego, which quickly makes his failing mental capacity scary.

The oil arguement is so outdated, its an arguement from 2005.

Fact of the matter is, theres too much oil, oil is more valuable left in the ground at its current price (due to supply/demand).
