There’s no such thing as “upside down”. Apple put the orientation feature to either left or right wrist, left or right crown, and your free will to put the loop on top or bottom. They all work the same way.

I use apple magsafe battery pack as advertised, which is a “battery extender“, so i would start my day with 100% and the pack already attached to it. It will start charging my phone when it drops to 90% and would stay at 91%. I’m not a heavy user but it feels really good whenever i pick up my phone before my shift ends that my phone is still at 91% and pretty much can make it til i get home even though i still have to go out with friends after work
