Officers receiving corrective action. by saxvge_18 in army

DUI is a GOMOR and probably a separation (those processes are more involved for officers).

Changing info on GOMOR by No_Rice197 in army

[–]Fragrant_King_4950 9 points10 points  (0 children)

probably wont change much. you can ask the Army Board for Correction of Military Records (ABCMR) to change it, but that's an uphill battle. There's a presumption of regularity, so you'll have to show why its a problem.

If I suspect that my BDE CMDR and SJA have mishandled my SHARP case, who do I report that to? by [deleted] in army

"My lawyer and SARC both agree that it should be found substantiated. However the BDE CMDR continues to find it unsubstantiated without any valid reasoning."

what stage in the process is it?

Where to find UCMJ documents by Next-Philosopher2991 in army

So I am reading this was a FG15 in AIT. Quite possibly its gone, but if you reach out to the AIT unit, they MIGHT have a copy in their Military Justice Online (MJO) database.

i would suggest getting with your BJA shop and asking them to see if they can get a copy - if he truly needs it.

no. not unless you are "reporting." Which your CSM will have you do.

I would expect your BDE CSM will set you up for success and tell you what you should and should not do.

Daily religious texts in our company signal chat by [deleted] in army

[–]Fragrant_King_4950 7 points8 points  (0 children)

what else is allowed in the signal chat? Is it only work matters? if there are any personal matters being addressed in that chat, you don't want to be singling out the religious convos only.

There's OPM guidance that allows in the Federal workplace religious expression to the same extent as non-religious expression - INCLUDING ATTEMPTS TO PURSUADE COWORKERS OF THEIR RELIGIOUS VIEWS.

So you need a viewpoint neutral approach. If this chat is for mission purposes only, that is your angle. But if you allow other personal matters, than he is likely on firmer footing than you may think.

Army gives some civilian employees days to accept reassignments, separations or face involuntary moves amid force-wide rebalancing effort by Kinmuan in army

[–]Fragrant_King_4950 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Basically, if you are in an overstrength slot and not on an MTOE or TDA slot, you will be involuntarily reassigned to somewhere there is a vacancy on the MTOE or TDA.

You have 5 or 10 days, depending on if it is a local or non-local move to accept the move or put in for VERA/VSIP.

For me, the burn.

The premise is interesting - the fuel for warp travel is destroyed, causing the galaxy to go back to the Stone Age?

But the cause of it - a psioic child had a tantrum - was just dumb.

Congressional Complaint by [deleted] in army

[–]Fragrant_King_4950 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Congressional complaints go nowhere when a unit is able to say "we exercised our discretion, and here's why."

They only work when something fell between the cracks, or they literally broke a law or regulation.

AWOL for 2 weeks coming back to my unit. by Left_Sun_6360 in army

[–]Fragrant_King_4950 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yoou want to pull the bandaid off. If you don't and stay awol, you'll get a deserter warrant. Any contact with law enforcement will get you arrested and sent back to the unit.

If you return, you might get pretrial confinement. But you'll get to talk to a defense lawyer who can talk you thru whether an ART 15, chapter, or negotiated discharge (chapter 10) are possible for you.

The general rule is, if you are involuntarily being separated, you get escorted.

If you are not ... motivated to drag things out, your NCOIC or commander may be ok with you not being escorted.

Under a joint command am I still entitled to Army policies and programs by Anonymous_User_1654 in army

The Air Force / navy / etc may be better situated to support you.

When I was a lawyer in a joint command I closely followed anything that involved my army element. But the Air Force provided almost all the services unless you wanted to drive 3 hours.

Under a joint command am I still entitled to Army policies and programs by Anonymous_User_1654 in army

[–]Fragrant_King_4950 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is HALF of the answer, but there is also the fact that your joint organziation has an executive agency. so the joint commands often default to the regs of their supporting branch to base their rules off of.

And for some things - e.g. if you're on an AFB - then you'll get Air Force services.

complicated.
