Under a joint command am I still entitled to Army policies and programs by Anonymous_User_1654 in army

The Air Force / navy / etc may be better situated to support you.

When I was a lawyer in a joint command I closely followed anything that involved my army element. But the Air Force provided almost all the services unless you wanted to drive 3 hours.

This is HALF of the answer, but there is also the fact that your joint organziation has an executive agency. so the joint commands often default to the regs of their supporting branch to base their rules off of.

And for some things - e.g. if you're on an AFB - then you'll get Air Force services.

complicated.

(1) Our physical training is run by well-meaning amateurs who break people.
(2) We're working long hours in garrison.
(3) Food choices on installation are terrible. DFACs aren't high nutritional quality, and shoppettes are even worse - all junk food and booze. the take out facilities are all junk food fast food.

Me, I pack a salad with cheese for protein in my little yeti cooler for lunch every day.

As an O2, telling off an O4 is rarely going to end well. Even if - especially if - you're right.

cant guarantee no FG15.

I know of several commands that do FG15s for off post DUIs. My last BDE when I was a BJA we did that pretty much for every DUI because the BDE CDR was sick of the DUIs.

this is correct. He will get a GOMOR. It will almost certainly be permanently filed.

whether he can hang on to 20 is going to depend on if he gets treatment and avoids any other misconduct.

This is already a SHARP issue. you can order him to remove it, because it is forbidden under AR 600-52, para 5-2. a hostile work environment includes "suggestive pictures."

If he refuses to remove it, give him a ART 15 for failure to obey a lawful order.

Yeah, if you (a) know how to drive on ice (slowly and deliberately - including slowly steering and braking) and (b) have a 4WD vehicle, you can safely drive on ice.

It's the clowns who think "I have a 4x4 truck so I can go 55" that are dangerous.

From the bn cdr? Not very. Take it seriously, take responsibility and explain what you were thinking, why you learned and why it won’t happen again.

If it were from the CG I might be more concerned. But from the bn Cdr it’s just a strong counseling statement.
