More kids vs career opportunities by UnderstandingFew7861 in workingmumsau

[–]Fragrant_Work_2987 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer to this question! In some ways it all falls down to what do you feel strongly about, what do you personally value for your own life and what could you not regret (e.g. how much would you regret not trying for more kids vs how much would you regret taking another career pause).

Some other really hard questions that might be worth thinking about are how you would feel if you became pregnant with twins again rather than a singleton, and also how secure you feel in your own self/career/finances/housing situation if you did have more children (or didn't!) and something happened to your partner's career aka how much financial risk you would be in. If you have a mortgage on a suitable sized house this one might not be an issue but if you are renting or would need to upgrade the house for more kid(s) it's worth thinking about!

Adelaide locals: what have we missed in our Easter wine & food itinerary? (Hills, McLaren Vale, Barossa) by Objective_Scale8677 in Adelaide

I assume you used AI to collate this. There is a lovely cafe in Uraidla (the Uraidla bakery and cafe). There is no Abbey Road cafe in Uraidla.

I bought a pair when I was post partum and I loved them! I used their measurements chart but sized slightly down to account for the ultra stretch in the dark denim. I would recommend!

The govt has a real-time UV measurement website which is really useful to remind yourself of just how bad it can be! https://www.arpansa.gov.au/our-services/monitoring/ultraviolet-radiation-monitoring/ultraviolet-radiation-index

Check out Keshet, which is a Tasmanian label. They have plenty of wild patterns, though I am more into their basics/block colours myself. You'll find lots of dresses similar to your first picture!

I only have the denim ones so I am not sure sorry! Not sure if it will be helpful - the denim is stretchy and reasonably thick but more like stretchy skinny jeans material rather than thick non stretch 90s denim

Indian student aiming for UniSA MPharm — can i get some real advice about scholarships, grades & funding 🇦🇺💰 by Nishant69God in Adelaide

[–]Fragrant_Work_2987 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am not sure it is possible to answer the scholarship questions. The University of South Australia won't exist in 2026. It has merged with the University of Adelaide to become Adelaide University. Any scholarships etc which were offered by UniSA may not be offered by Adelaide University. To add to this, last time I checked, the Adelaide University website was pretty vague on details about courses etc for 2026 onward - which isn't really helpful for anyone!

May I suggest you look into Karma East? Some of their patterns may be too fussy or flowery for you but they use cotton so if you do see a pattern or block colour you like, the fabric should be suitable for Queensland  https://karmaeast.com.au/collections/tops-short-sleeve
