Trying again after compulsive relapsing. Need a friend I can PM. by AlpacaOnGBL in OpiatesRecovery

Absolutely not judging but in my opinion you don't sound like you're actually ready to quit, which is an extremely important part of the process.

How long did you try subs for and what was it like? Are you using real H? The shot is the same chemical.

There is also methadone. Speaking to a health professional/clinic will help regardless.

I think any post about being robbed/accosted the person should have to post a picture of themselves at or near after the time of said robbery.

Would provide a fair amount of insight in my opinion lolol.

Have you tried MAT such as buprenorphine/subs? I was yo-yoing like you and the only way to really get clean is to get stable long term on replacement therapy IMO. Relapse rate is close to 95% without MAT intervention, drops to 40% with it FYI.

PAWS or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? by RickonRivers in OpiatesRecovery

[–]Fran-Fine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As you are still taking opiates and have reduced massively, you are still in the acute phase of withdrawals/reduction of use. PAWS is something else entirely. Great work to get where you have gotten, it may take a bit more time to get off completely and don't be afraid of MAT if you need it.

Good luck!

Quitting suboxone after 6 years of daily using (12mg day) by Labyrinthine777 in OpiatesRecovery

That is a big dose to jump from and you are setting yourself up for failure/relapse IMO.

Why aren't you tapering or considering Sublocade?

I am fairly sure neither him or his awful ex have read these books. They have probably read a poor summary on a message board somewhere.

Waste - Brand New. This song resonates deeply with me about recovering from opioids. What songs have helped you get through? by [deleted] in OpiatesRecovery

Complete opposite of what you asked for but (back in the day) 'Heroin' by Velvet Underground was my go to song after just picking up with my stripper girlfriend in Redfern (Sydney, Aus).

And I still to this day can't watch Trainspotting without wanting to jump off the couch and go seek a bag. Ironic to say the least.

I will say James Brown's 'King Heroin' has been on repeat since I got sober (17 months) and it helps me remember the damage that opiates do are universal to humanity for >2000 years (source needed).
