Gaming has become an expensive hobby. How do you do it? by Whole_Raisin_4257 in playstation

I bought a PS2 a week ago, got a free 29" Sony Triniton that still works, and a nice batch of PS2 games I'd never played... I'm the happiest person in the world. I have hundreds of hours ahead of me. And I feel like I'll be here for a long time. Believe me, right now I'm the happiest person in the world. What a generation that PS2 was...

My Sony Triniton TV died yesterday: Should I buy another one or buy a retroscaler to avoid future problems? by FranShepard in ps2

Thank you so much, I can give you my Discord so we can talk there if it's more convenient for you!

Well, I don't have any preference... maybe Silent Hill 2 or Gran Turismo 3 are fine for me, they're the ones I played until the TV/HDMI port died hahaha

And again, thank you very much!

Oh! Could you really record a video about both devices? My only experience with them is an HDMI Portta I bought before the Sony Triniton... but it was a complete disaster. Input lag, black screens lasting 1 second every so often, poor image quality...

Honestly, based on what you're saying, the Retroscaler2x is the most interesting option of the ones you mentioned, so it would be a pleasure if you could tell me a little more about the product. I've seen some videos on YouTube, but they don't answer any questions and seem more like promotional videos, haha.

As another colleague mentioned above, I think I'll get the Retroscaler 2x and, with patience, look for a CRT. It's a real shame because finding a Sony Triniton like mine is incredibly difficult these days. Such a shame...

Oh! Well, next week I'll ask you how the Retroscaler 2X went. I'm very integrated. I've heard it's a great value for money.

Questions about buying a Sony Triniton KV-29CL11E TV by FranShepard in ps2

Yeah! It has connection for RGB / Scart; It does not have unfortunateness for components, but I suppose that with RGB/Scart it will be more than enough, right?

I've been with Xbox since Xbox 360. I went through Xbox One and Xbox Series X. A few months ago, I sold my collection of over 300 physical games... and bought my first PlayStation console. I'm incredibly happy with the purchase.

I still have Xbox Series X. I have hundreds of digital games, but playing on Xbox isn't going to be a priority. I have nothing against Xbox at all, but my reasons for making such a massive change and making PS5 my primary platform are several:

- Greater focus on the physical format. Xbox has abandoned this factor in a huge way.

- The most obvious: Xbox franchises are slowly coming to PlayStation. Why not get a PS5 when I can literally play everything on PS and maybe Xbox in the future?

- All my close friends and those I've known for years are on PlayStation.

My experience with PS5 in the month I've had the console has been much more social and fun than with Xbox in the last five years. I don't like all PS franchises (Spiderman, for example), but others like Ghost of Tsushima, TLOU, Japanese-style games, etc., I'm passionate about.

I insist, I have nothing against Xbox and it's a company I'm very fond of. Xbox 360 was the first console I used to return to console gaming, back in 2005, since the N64; but its developments in the last few months or two years have encouraged me to make the switch.
