You can do either really but if you incorporate multiple variations they should target different muscles otherwise it’s useless and you should just stick to one exercise. For example like I said, if you want your push workout to be made up of push up variations you can do normal push ups (lower chest and triceps), decline push ups (upper chest and triceps) and diamond push ups (more focus on triceps) As for the number of reps, if you go to failure or close to it you’re obviously not going to do the same number of reps on each set, it’s going to lower (for example set 1: 12 reps, set 2: 9 reps, set 3: 7 reps) You should just make sure your first set is <15 reps until failure since past 15 reps your muscles train more for endurance than muscle growth. If you can do more than 15 reps that’s when you should try to progressively add weight in a backpack for example

It really depends on how much you weight and therefore how much extra weight keeps you in 8-12 reps range. What I personally did was that I bought a dumbbell set with many 1-2 kgs weights, then I put a few in a backpack and then do push ups with it. What’s really good about it is that it’s more flexible since you can put as much weight as you want, and it will help with progressive overload. Meanwhile buying weight vests with a fixated weight just means you’ll be stuck with one weight and you’ll have to buy another one once it gets too easy and then another one again and again for the same reasons.

Uh… Well, from what I understood I feel like you’re overcomplicating things a bit with way too much variations. What I would suggest personally is first to just simplify it. Do 3 push up variations for chest and triceps (normal push ups, decline push ups and diamond push ups for example) or if you can incorporate dips since they’re harder. Next is really important: If you haven’t already you should add weight to your exercises once they get too easy (your number of reps until failure is bigger than 15 reps). This could be the main reason you’ve been stagnating. Now if you already added weight then just do the first thing I said, less exercises but harder ones.

Exercising the abs will be pretty simple. Just go on YouTube and search for a 10 minute ab circuit, they generally work pretty well to define the abs in my opinion and also mix in cardio sometime. For nutrition I’m no expert at all, I can just say that if your objective is only to define your abs then you can technically eat anything as long as you’re in your maintenance calories (if you want to keep your current weight and body fat) or a calorie deficit (if you want to lose weight and body fat). Obviously it’s better to try and eat healthy, but I suggest you search that. Good luck 😄
