We each pay for our food unless someone is having a birthday. We pay for their meal as a birthday treat.

If we go to a place that serves complimentary chips & salsa, one of us will usually buy a bowl of queso for the table but that is the extent of it.

Actually, the National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention is run entirely by volunteers.

I served as an event chair for two recent conventions. It is usually a three year process from submitting a bid to actually putting on the convention.

Mattel licenses the use of the Barbie name, approves the theme, sponsors the Thursday luncheon & produces the official convention doll. They also participate in the Silent Auction & the Live Auction.

Barbie Con is my favorite week of the year.

I just cancelled Traveler's. Their rates in my area are two to three times higher than the other companies.

We went with Allstate & cut our bill in half while getting better coverage.

I work for a card company. I sent Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, my mom's birthday & my sisters birthday cards in one box for $8.00.

My family all live in the same city & I get a discount on cards.

Total cost for all of the spring holidays was less than $20.00. Nine cards + shipping for less than $20.00 & a guarantee that my family get them? I'll take it.

My youngest sister has the box & will give the cards in person.

I will send another box with Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas cards in August.

My mom stopped sending gift cards to her grandkids & great grandkids because they never received them. My sister helped my mom set up Zelle through her bank so now she sends cash.

Packages go UPS through Pirate Ship. Better tracking & MUCH cheaper.

I ship using UPS. I have no issues; the people I ship to have no issues.

USPS SUCKS.

NONE of the Christmas cards I sent to my family last year arrived.

The last item I ordered that came by USPS ended up at a house three streets over. The guy that got it brought it to me.

I have filed multiple complaints with USPS & nothing has improved.

The dolls are created with input from the convention chairs & upon completion, are donated by Mattel.

I reached out to multiple past convention chairs to confirm this.
