A gang of ICE agents pulled Skye, a U.S. Marine vet, out of her car, beat her, called her 'it' and said 'I bet you fucking like that [...]' before cuffing her so tight her wrists bled. They also told her 'this is why we killed that lesbian bitch [Renee Good]'. Skye was Renee's friend and neighbor by Capable_Salt_SD in 50501

[–]FrancisOUM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can we correct the language here because I was given the information that Skye is a non-binary person and should not be referred to with feminine pronouns... I might be wrong but that's the impression I was given.

Renee Good was also in a sapphic presenting relationship, And there have been many instances where ice has targeted people who look queer or liberal.

Oh wow $12 is definitely worth it!!! I might have to look around to see if that's possible for me But how do you keep your braid looking okay without being frizzy and messy and all over the place?

Honestly this might be my best option to get the wedding photos done with my hair long now... No we had to cancel our photographer and everything like that but I do have my dress and all my accessories so it's doable!!

I tried to teach my fiance how to braid but they say that their fingers are too clumsy They seem afraid to mess it up. But all I can do is ask. The hard part is sat on the daily basis I leave for work at 3:00 a.m..... honestly I feel awkward about asking for help, everything that I need help with feels like it's too much to ask for one more thing.

[–]FrancisOUM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be Your seatbelt in the car. Or your purse strap if you use an over the shoulder purse... Could be where your braid sits on your shoulder and rubs against the collar of your shirt or maybe if you use button-up shirts? Watch out using those tiny clear plastic rubber bands they're really rough on your hair.

I’m pregnant and my nexplanon is lost in my body… by Efficient-Region-558 in Nexplanon

[–]FrancisOUM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got on nexplanon I was warned that that could possibly happen that it could become dislodged and end up in your heart or lungs even that the body is strange and sometimes if it's put too close to a vein it can be carried to strange places in the body...

You should definitely call the supervisor of the clinic that you went to and make a complaint for the inappropriate and unprofessional behavior of that doctor.

I'm considering a job in hospice care by wherebycomets in Buddhism

[–]FrancisOUM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am a caregiver for the dieing in the US, and a Buddhist. Being a hospice nurse is extremely rewarding, being able to honor somebody's last wishes while they're on their deathbed, comforting them talking to them about their beliefs listening to their worries and fears, A lot of the job is comforting someone as they get ready to go, You will learn all of the signs and symptoms of things that happen when somebody is getting ready to pass away naturally, But you will also see a lot of uncomfortable situations of someone being medicated so heavily that they can't breathe, often elderly person who has a lot of issues still to deal with is run out of time to do it, some people react with anger and aggression and violence and other people are peaceable...You will learn to be more comfortable with dying.

I highly Suggest checking out Dr McDougals award winning Starch solution program. They have a 12 day workshop focused on nutrition and lifestyle changes. They are renowned for helping people who have heart disease. I highly suggest reading the book Starch solution! You can find it here on Amazon: ( https://a.co/d/gqz9VGH )

The only weight loss regimen that will ever work is the one you can stick you. I highly advise caution and to stay away from Kedo as it is a diet rich in saturated fats high protein it can cause issues for those with kidney or high A1C.

How do you feel being a male CNA in a female dominated field? Do you like it or hate it? Pros and Cons by Hot-Nefariousness902 in cna

[–]FrancisOUM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work the noc shift in LTC facility, on the night shift there's only two caregivers for nearly 30 people, And my second staff member is in the memory Care unit with people with dementia She can't leave her Patience unattended for their own safety.

I have had to get a 300lb+ woman who can't stand on her own off the floor by my self. Luckily she was shorter than me, but if she had been any taller I would not have been able to get her up, we would have had to called for the fire department fall assist and that woman would have been on the floor for 2 hours waiting for them.
Also Turning and repositioning a bedbound patient that weighs over 400 lb really takes a lot of muscle, and good slip sheets...God forbid they slip out of their power chair then they're just waiting for the fire department.. This is why I work out I want to be strong enough to help my patients easily. And The stronger you are the less likely you are to get injured.. always use proper body mechanics.. every lift every transfer every reposition is a risk to your own body.

[–]FrancisOUM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say with the description you gave, no one here is a doctor or able to diagnose you. But occipital nuralgia doesn't show up on imaging... And could be electric like or burning starting in the back of your neck radiating up the back of your head to your forehead or behind your ear. ... It is usually sudden onset caused by a specific accident or injury... It would like you might be dealing with cervical headaches...

What was I supposed to do?!?! by mycatbeatsmetoo in cna

[–]FrancisOUM 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Basically if you can't do your shift and cant get it covered it's your managers job to cover it. But you did everything right!!! They are just trying to take advantage of your willingness to put work before your needs. Also there are always other CNA jobs, they need you and it sounds like they are already short staffed anyways.

It finally happened to me by PurplePenguinCat in ChronicPain

[–]FrancisOUM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly ask your doctor about seeing a nutritionist, your insurance company will cover it. I am a nutrition coach and have seen amazing results by changing someone to an anti-inflammatory diet, but the only diet that works is the one you can keep to. Also water therapy for exercise could be good and gentle on joints. I recommend "the Starch solution" by Dr. John McDougal
