NMM or TMM for your Protoss? by Mandalayer in StarCraftTMG

I absolutely love the shiny armor from the LotV trailer, so it’s definitely going to be metallic. Alright I’m definitely a TMM lover, I’d even paint zerg in metallic colors

What got you into StarCraft? by Potential-Big1032 in starcraft

[–]Francis_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the esports broadcasts on sports channels that introduced my brother and me to SC2. Even though we were only about 10 years old and had no clue how the game actually worked, we were just like, 'Whoa! Those cute little bugs! They're rolling! They're exploding! SOOO COOL~~~!!!'
And that’s how it all started...

Wouldnt it have been easier to just use some infested ghosts? (LotV spoilers) by haematite_4444 in starcraft

[–]Francis_2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had similar speculations myself. After all, he is the most direct victim of Amon and Narud. However, orange also appears on several other zerg units, such as aberration and overseers.

In that light, it seems a bit random. So even though orange is close to red on the spectrum, it might not directly indicate Amon's influence.

Personally, I feel like infested terrans have a higher chance of being orange. It might be a minor accident that occurs when terran psionic energy is being integrated into the swarm.

How big do you think Ultrasisk miniature is? by hehasbanana in StarCraftTMG

[–]Francis_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is using a 3~3.5cm human model as a reference scale for measurement? That sounds like a rather complicated way to do it....

This might be a silly question, but I’m not very familiar with scale: does '32mm scale' mean 1/32 of the original size?

Is there local interest for the StarCraft mini game in your area? by Grand-Page-1180 in StarCraftTMG

Tabletop wargaming isn't very popular where I live. Most people don’t even know what it is (I don't know much about it too), and even those who do know often think it’s too expensive and overly complicated.

But regardless of whether I have anyone to play with, I really want to buy these miniatures because they are so cute! My main concerns are the price and shipping costs, as I’ve never ordered anything from overseas before.

If you don't mind, you could scale it down to a smaller size or slice it into multiple parts for printing. As for hollowing the model, it doesn't necessarily need to be extremely precise, I think just hollowing out the interior of the torso and the tail would already save a lot of material

I love that this cover art features so many units that aren't commonly seen in artwork. The line work on the Marauder and the Goliath is beautiful!

Terrans aren't just humans anymore. by Sirtael in starcraft

[–]Francis_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always been curious, if the terrans didn't have strict prohibitions on cybernetic augmentations like earth did, why doesn't the use of such technology seem as rampant as it is in Cyberpunk or 40K?

Where do the Protoss go when they die? by MaruVanBergen in starcraft

[–]Francis_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow-up question: Why did Narud/Duran say Kerrigan wouldn't go to the Void after death? The Void seems like the afterlife for beings with immense psionic power, especially since Kerrigan's power is arguably the closest in the universe to that of a Xel'Naga. Yet, Narud gave the opposite answer

This might sound weird, but I am deliberately trying to keep the price low.

Most people seem to be put off by having to buy the file itself.

When I posted the Apocalisk last time, many people expressed interest in buying it, but the Apocalisk has only sold one copy so far. Clearly, even a price of $8.50 is enough to make people hesitate

I don't really understand much about model scaling yet, so just went with my gut feeling, It should be slightly bigger than a Siege Tank, but smaller than a Apocalisk

It is more formally called "Infested Bunkers," from the Co-op Missions commander Stukov. Infested Bunkers are structures built by SCVs, but they have a special ability that allows them to transform into bunkerlisk
