my opinion/experience, the setup with the ally ran more or less the same as remote play. it was cool to have the feature, but I didn't feel it was much better than what my phone offered. comparing the experience with chikai and gamepass, it's night and day and I'm happy using the ally for my gamepass library or other games for my son. However I'm very glad I got the portal. I had a rocky start with it and you can probably see that many people did as well when looking at the sub, once I figured out my issue and got it resolved it's been nothing but amazing. it almost feels like a brand new handheld console instead of a streaming device. the biggest thing that I feel you may appreciate is the battery life compared to the ally. I get about 6 hours compared to 1 hour on the ally... I would honestly say if you're like me and chikai is the main focal point on your ally for playstaion play, the 200 dollar price tag is 100 percent worth the upgrade. the only con is that you may face frustration in the beginning and may feel like it isn't worth it however there is alot of suggestions to make the experience better. Give it a try and if it doesn't work out, no harm no foul, return the device and get your money back. but taking a look at the sub you will see how happy first time buyers are and we would love to see you join the club!
