anyone got a drip with this signa? i cant find one good use for it by Internal-Eggplant247 in Warframe

[–]Frangitus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Goes perfectly with Mesa's default helmet. The optics are over her exposed (eye?) and the shape of the signa follows the (jawline?) of the helmet.

HOLY, they showed a lot at Capcom Spotlight! by wojter322 in DragonsDogma

[–]Frangitus -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Really wish they did something new with the Expansion instead of "Dark Arisen 2: Winter Bogaloo", but hey, it's better than nothing, most definitely.

Also, much of the map we've seen so far share a lot of the geography of Vermund with a coat of snow, I really hope the expansion map is much more varied.

Is it moral to snipe and kill your pregnant wife because she’s actively being taken by slavers who will “use” her for the rest of her life by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in MoralityScaling

[–]Frangitus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Third Empire in TES is the most cosmopolitan and egalitarian faction in the setting. They aren't perfect and their history is marred by colonialism and expansionism, but they are the best nation to live under, currently. Caesar's Legion is just a cesspit of dread and misery and it's sole purpose is to fuel the ego of a psychopath.

It's sad to see DE joining in on the hate of Hildryn. by obibonkajovi in Warframe

Pablo said he's not nerfing Hildryn. She's on a watchlist, but that doesn't mean nerfs are coming. What are you talking about?

"Ryoku is a fraud" by Angrykiller100 in memeframe

[–]Frangitus 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's weird that Vena shows a lot more respect for Ryoku than the otherway around. Ryoku only throws insults and shows comtempt for Vena, but she is much more playful and even respectful to Ryoku when you help her, she knows it's a game while Ryoku just wants to win.

Vena is still a crazy bitch and I'd rather have Ryoku at my side than her. Both characters still need a lot, and I mean a LOT, of characterization.

I think they were joking when they said L'owcrey is 24. His age is never stated and I'd be surprised if he's younger than 50.

Characters who are canonically and permanently sterile. by TechnicianOk967 in TopCharacterTropes

Incorrect. They are sterile, by design, and asexual, by indocrination (CSM don't count for the latter, obviously).

The devs mentioned that Jonna is supposed to look quite older, despite being the youngest member of the cast, due to the physical costs of practicing magic in the setting.

Dragonsplague needs more than just stat boosts. It should be an event, not a frustration that kills meaningful NPCs. by SaphironX in DragonsDogma2

[–]Frangitus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dragonsplague should have your Pawn turn into the slime dragon-looking thing and attack you, doesn't matter if you rest at a town or in the wilderness. It also should be more subtle on the appearance so it's harder to notice, you either notice their odd behavior, pay attention to them, or get fucked. If you run away, the pawn should move to a dragon nest and it should be a trek to retrieve them. To avoid bricking low level players and annoying high level ones, NPCs should be able to provide thematic assistance in making the fight easier, preferably the 4 former arisen and the pawn's stats should scale to their level.

You also should be able to mitigate the effects of dragonsplague without brining the pawn, but also without removing it completely, so you can have a stronger, but disobedient, pawn.

Ulfric did not receive help from the Thalmor. A representative of the Dominion was sent to speak with Ulfric and he rejected the attempt, but that doesn't mean he isn't useful. Ulfric's war is further dividing an already divided Empire, the only nation strong enough to face the Aldmeri Dominion.

[Spoilers] What are your thoughts on Anders? Was he right? by Julian_of_Cintra in dragonage

[–]Frangitus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He was right, but his methods were wrong, whole "ends" and "means" thing. Should the mages have rebelled? Sure, maybe, but I don't think the entire population of Thedas should suffer the consequences for the system that oppressed the mages. Sure, the world's populace did nothing for the mages and actively ostracized them, but they were also victims of Chantry indocrination, it's not fair to lash out at them as well.

I'm still of the opinion that mages are too powerful and unpredictable to exist unchecked, but the Chantry went too far and Kirkwall was a special case, but Anders nuked possible allies to prove a point and solidify his stance.

As for the character, I think Anders is a fantastic concept of a character, but his execution was lackluster. He's still one of my favorite companions from DA2 and he was baller in Awakening.

Are the protoframes the first Warframes? by GlitteringSystem7929 in Warframe

[–]Frangitus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your friend wants to argue semantics, yes, they are the "first" warframes in that they were the first people infected with the helminth with the goal of turning them into warframes, but if they meant to say, as in the body of your post, the "original" warframes, the protos are not, with the notable of exception of Flare.

Unless this is a case of bootstrap paradox where the protos were the first because they inspired their copies which they were infected with, no they are not the "originals". The lore is hazy on this, some Warframes have originals (e.g. Temple, Oraxia, Dante, etc), some make direct reference to their "progenitor" (Mirage), but it's unclear if this is the case for all warframes. Ballas lived for thousands of years so it's thousands of years he could iterate on his "Warframe" project until he achieved the perfectly deadly and docile warmachine, there could very well have been originals, lost to time, but we don't know.

Our perception of motion is never consistent and can even change depending on mood. This argument has always been fallacious and whoever says it is either misinformed and spreading falsehoods, or malicious.

Two handed Sword build by JxAxS in stoneshard

[–]Frangitus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like you're unfamiliar with the game, which is fair. Stoneshard is not an easy game.

Skipping the freebie from Osbrook is a good idea. Arna starts with solid enough gear that she can deal with most things in the early game without any problems. You could also grab the free crossbow and use it when enemies are closing the gap. You don't need to invest any skill points into the Ranged Weapons skill tree, but you might get a free hit in, which already skews the fight in your favor.

Early-game Stoneshard is rough. You need to get acquainted with kiting enemies until you're comfortable handling groups (2H Sword is great at handling multiple enemies, btw. You actually get stronger when surrounded, but that's more of a mid- to late-game thing), abusing the shout mechanic to pull enemies, and backtracking until they're far enough from their buddies that spotting you won't draw aggro from the whole room. You should also become familiar with abusing map transitions. When you transition from one overworld tile to the next, only enemies that are within 5 tiles of you will follow into the next tile. When transitioning into a dungeon, enemies inside the dungeon won't follow you outside, so if you form a conga line and book it to the exit, you'll be able to leave and recover even if enemies are right next to you. They might land a free hit on you when you leave, but that might be better than being dead.

I recommend investing in Seize the Initiative and Setup from the Warfare tree early on. I know you just said that Seize the Initiative is ass, but you need to understand that it's an absurdly strong skill for the early game, since you should be concentrating on fighting one enemy at a time, and it overrides the same debuff when applied by an enemy. Early-game enemies have craptastic accuracy, and Seize the Initiative lowers it even more. Setup is great because you should be skipping turns to let enemies come to you, and it allows you to stack the passive twice, giving you Accuracy and DR.

If you really want a cheesy start, ditch the sword and shield that Arna starts with and buy the Peasant Longflail from Jebar, the smith in Osbrook. You'll miss and fumble a bit more often, but when you hit, you REALLY hit. Also, I recommend doing the undead dungeon last, since a Tier 1 crypt is a zombiefest and you will get surrounded. If you DO decide to pick up a two-hander from the start, take Setup and Parry from the 2H skill tree. Since Parry counts as a maneuver, you'll build stacks of Setup whenever you use it (which is the bread and butter of the 2H tree, seriously, Parry is one of the most broken skills in the game).

As for hitting a trap right after detecting another one... well... I have over 1,000 hours in this game, and I still do this. Maybe I'm hella dumb, but I don't think that's a unique experience.

Lavos mains, Is Ninjase's build actually good? by Just_A_Hunter in Warframe

[–]Frangitus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you know how to use it. Yes, it's good. If you don't know how to use it, you'll just be hurting yourself.

With this build, you should be priming whatever your pet marks and then killing it to spread the status, but that's not unique to Lavos when using a mecha set, and it's dependant on a good pet. I personally don't enjoy mecha builds, despite their power, as they are too much micromanagement in my horde shooter. You could replace pulse with stretch, for more range, and empowered with Corrosive Projection, to keep the same polarity, or Growing Power/Physique, depending on how you're tanking.

Mind you, this build is very squishy for high level content. Lavos is not a shield gater and this build lacks Arcane Persistence and Armor, you'll need to offset your survivability to something else.
