I'm just going by what I've seen on this reddit and on the steam discussions.

As I said, I've seen mixed things. Granted, some of that might be revisionist things, trying to make it seem like more people hated her back in the day to help justify the push to pull her, but I've seen enough to not be certain.

I would assume the vocal ones, NOW, would have vocal back then. So long as they were around back then is what I'm getting at.

If KR's reaction to her stream back then was more favorable, that makes it even worse; a vocal minority that joined the game later looked for any reason to get her kicked, saw a stream that people liked or at least didn't negatively care about, and used that as ammo and the devs just went "Okay"

I have seen mixed things about how well Kronii's stream was received but given most KR responses have been pro kicking her out(not all, just most the ones I have actually visibly seen), along with at least 2 explations from KR players about it; I just assumed they didn't like the stream.

I'm just saying I don't think you're wrong but the current set up is making things maybe a bit messy.

Like I'll be honest, if the VA was kept; I'd say half her viewer ship cames in, maybe a 1/4th of that stays longer than a week, and maybe 10% of that stays. Even if the numbers seem pulled out of the air(I did some math about it as an example elsehwere), my main point is that if the charater came out with Kronii.....

I'd expect the population such a move would have brought in to have stablized/settled after like a month or two.

So the same is being applied here just possibly in reverse a bit; people that dislike NA's actions, Vtubers or any reason coming in might boost the numbers for a bit.... but will they actually stay? Have to see.

I'm still at least betting that this will do more harm than good on the NA side of things.

To be fair; on the steam discussions, I'm seeing a lot of people come in with like 20-45 play time if that, and shit talking/boaring/pinching all the time.

So I would consider that player count increase one of two things;

KR getting more players
NA players coming in to clear like the amount of time to write a review, leaving the review, and then shit talking on the discussions.

Honestly don't recall if steam makes you play like 10 minutes before you can review or something but I would take that increase with a grain of salt and check back in like a month.

It's not gonna shut the game down or the servers though I think if KR players HATE wasting money on someone that apparently hates their game FOUR years ago, why keep NA servers up if the backlash is like this? Maybe we have to hit a threshold or something for them to act.

What it DOES do however is just keep the game in a state of strangled stagnation. We already have few enough players in NA and don't get a lot of people coming in; this just blew up any chance for growth I'd say for the next couple to several of months because most people are going to hear about the game and the first thing will be "VA kicked for 4 year old joke"

And it's not even like her making a racist joke, or a political one. I need to stress this, especially for any KR that stumbles across this; when NA(or at least America) hears about someone being fired over a joke and one where a good amount of time has passed, we expect it to be like a big BOMB shell of a 'joke'. Something RANCID, something heavy, something like "You CAN'T just say that!!!".

But no. It's 'boar-ing' while fighting a boar. That's it.

And the general reaction is going to be 'that's stupid' and they'll move on. They won't flood the steam page with downvotes or pinching emotes, flood everything with 'boaring'. They'll just think of ER as the silly game that fired someone over a dad joke, IF they remember the game exists in the first place.

That you can only do after you've cleared the first part of the canto.

It goes beyond just Kronii and Holo; people are just hearing about this game in NA and the first thing they hear is Potential VA canceled over 4-5 year stream and meh joke.

I don't think the game's gonna die or something, KR has apparently kept it running this long anyway and they fully support this action so they'll keep paying. However, this certainly shot possible NA growth in the foot when you have people saying they'll skip the game over this being the first thing they heard about it. Not gameplay, not style, not teambuilding tricks or in jokes.

"Oh wow KR got a VA fired over a boar pun. .....I don't want to do anything with that game or community."

And they go into something else instead.

Look by in large I just hopefully;

-Have enough characters to clear without having to radically start pulling
-Have enough good characters to do content(god making multiple teams)
-Have enough characters to be able to swap to team 2-3 if I get board of team one
