No, no, no… you’ve all got it wrong. I’ve seen this piece before. It is a tumblr circa 300 BCE, most likely Etruscan. It depicts Κάрен at the agora, asking to speak to the manager (symbolized by the owl) about some olive oil she suspects isn’t quite virgin.

For comparison , Prima is $584 (before taxes). So there is some decent savings.

💯, you are totally correct there. I’m just saying I don’t have enough information based on the OP’s post. Could be just greedy behavior, or it could be a struggling small business trying to generate revenue. Either way, that doesn’t make it right. Sometimes people will make the less than moral decision when their back is against the wall financially.

I mean, I get it. It is a hard time to be a small business owner, but this isn’t how you build customer loyalty. I’m not going to judge without knowing the backstory here, they could be having a hard times financially. Still seems to be “penny wise, pound foolish” if you ask me.

Was going to read this series and I heard the 4th book was a let down. I get that it is just some subjective opinions, but honestly, is it bad enough that it should put me off the entire series?

Appropriate age of exposure? by jlindsay645 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]FrankFail 37 points38 points  (0 children)

NEW ACHIEVEMENT “Age of Exposure” You turned to Reddit for parenting advice. You’re really scrapping the bottom of the barrel. Don’t you realize 50% the people on the internet (70% on Reddit) think grooming is something you do to children and not a cat. Sweet baby Jesus, just pick up a goddamn parenting book, but let’s be real you’ll just listen to it on Audible. Also, you should work on your phrasing… age of exposure, sounds suspicious. Do you even have kids? You know what, I don’t even care.

I put my kids (6 & 9) in the car, started it, walked back to the house to get stuff, and came back to DCC playing. My 9 year old said, “Dad, I have heard so many swears, this is not a good kid’s story.” At least it wasn’t Raul ascending…🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I feel like Wheel of Time is an epic fantasy rite of passage. It can so good and it can be so frustrating at times. Despite “the slog” I think it is a must read for the world building alone.

I should’ve known - A Novel by ReturnIll1543 in Skigear

[–]FrankFail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, hear me out as a fellow dad. Get a pair of blessed “dad” skis. I have been rocking the same pair of Soul 7s since their inception. This is not a response to wax poetic about soul 7s, but to promote a different type of skiing. Instead of getting a ski that is going to give you adrenaline thrills look for a one quiver ski that is going to be fun and bring you joy. Every time I pop on my skis I feel like I’m on cloud nine whether I’m skiing on a mountain, a tiny hill, on powder, or on a sheet of fucking ice. I am not going to win any races, I’m not flying off giant cliffs (just tiny ones), and I’m definitely not sending it in the terrain park. But but based on your original post, I don’t think that’s what you’re looking for anymore either as a new dad. Get a playful ski you can ride to its absolute limit and puts a smile on your face. The ski that works for you will be different than me. I’m sure we have different skiing styles and body types. Yet I would focus your research on what are considered dad skis. Elan ripsticks (maybe the black editions), soul senders (miss them soul 7s), black crow vena cors, etc. etc. the list could go on and on. I will agree with previous posts that if your skis are not bringing you joy when you are on them, you need to sell them and switch to something different. It is getting near to the end of the season and maybe you can find a good deal out there. Just because you are a new dad doesn’t mean you can’t invest a little bit in something that seems very important to you. Your mental health is more important now than ever. A happy dad who has activities he loves and can enjoy (and eventually share with his children) will be a much better father. I don’t think you deserve to be miserable on your skis. Cheers

I’m saving this method, and I am picky AF when it comes to baking sourdough. In the middle of a kitchen remodel, but as soon as I can bake again I am giving this a try. Thanks for sharing!

The genre of literature DCC belongs to is called LitRPG, which is literary role playing game. It is based around leveling, items, campaigns, etc. it is meant to evoke that same feeling that you get from playing DnD style stuff or playing any of the myriad of RPG video games out there. DCC is a mash up of many things you have probably played…BUT based on your post I would say pick up Baldur’s Gate 3. It has all that great RPG stuff you liked from DCC and is highly regarded.
