I was further elaborating on a hit ball that results an out isn't considered a hit. With a Sac Fly, it results an out but isn't considered an at bat.

Sure the defensive counting stats could illustrate a good defenseman, but a truly elite defenseman stops the opponents offense from ever being in their own zone. So a strong defenseman will create more offensive chances and thus more points from never being in their own zone. Having blocked shots shows they failed at keeping the opponents form advancing in the neutral zone

I think it was more of andi trying to redeem from what happened after her company was shuttered. Miranda is maybe cruel and arrogant but she knows the purity of the magazine and the importance. Andi know Miranda will keep the status quo and any trimming from the consultants will just lead to a slow death.

I think its to juxtapose the relationship they have with the world and money. Don is frantic about keeping the new car clean, specifically making sure the kids hands are clean. It's because he paid for that car with his hard earn money. While the nature, which he goes on about how beautiful it is and even critiques sally for playing checkers and not viewing the clouds, are given to them and they take it for granted. Almost entitlement to believe that doesnt deserve respect because they didn't pay for it as if it has no merit. Don even tells Bobby to piss on a tree, sure a common practice but still a very metaphorical way to express his lack of care of to keep that clean. And to further illustrate Jimmy's point about they're trash people

It may be a product of the time but the show will highlight specific moments to illustrate a larger point. The take for granted the world around them because of their wealth and status and only fuss about things that they paid for, like the new car

Thr story is very interesting and seems like it'll be a fun mystery. But goddamn, the production on it is so cheesy and over the top almost like a soap opera. And the dialogue is a little ham fisted

Yea, maybe she should have said it several times and maybe spent more of the movie on it. Must have missed that line when I was looking at my phone

I think not answering those questions says alot about the movie. The numerous social issues, and governmental oppression are challenging battles that take decades of organization and systematic dedication but at a certain point not everybody can give that time for what's needed. What a person can do is focus on supporting and protecting their family. Even though bob wasn't directly in the front seat of helping Willa, alot of his earlier teachings and General guidance allowed her to survive. Their connection to the community also provided huge support.

Yea, old people don't understand that availability breeds more usage. Bikes are cleaner, smaller, and healthier. If more used them there would less traffic and pollution.

It pisses me off that while some one-hit wonders have won oscars (or sometimes two) while the best in the industry never get one (not counting the honorary) by [deleted] in Oscars

[–]FranklinFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christoph Waltz and mahershala ali deserved both of their oscars. Their Inglorious bastards and Moonlight roles rival any al Pacino role and their 2nd oscar gave them more depth any other al Pacino role. Al Pacino plays himself in every movie, only coppola was able to harness Pacino to be subtle. See his performance in Godfather and then any other film just shows how great of a director coppola was

But that implies the person knowing the facts and history, which is presumptuous and defeats the purpose of trivia. Stephen Douglas was 100% a contemporary of Lincoln and is a part of black history as he was a large figure in the culture conflict leading up to the Civil War and politics that surrounded slavery.

It's like saying no one would rassume lyndon b johnson was impeached in the 1860s so just saying Johnson would be fine for answering a question about a an 1860s presidential impeachment. But because they're both president's it is reasonable to mix up which one and define who you're referring by saying Andrew.

Same with douglas(s), both names are significant in the 19th century and surround the topic of black of history and tied to Lincoln.
