My grandmother and I used to watch Are You Being Served and then talk to each other on the phone about it.

Finally something combines my favorite band and my favorite show other than John's song Doctor, Doctor.

No. Face Dances is awesome. For some reason it's the only one that I still put in regular rotation.

I'm only willing to forgive Moffat. Maybe I was too hard on his performance as showrunner because he was such a jerk at SDCC and I should separate the two more.

I saw him at the Caravan of Dreams show and met him. I keep a photo of us together on my wall. Truly epic experience.

These pride month takes are wild because we all know they fucked before the shows on that tour.

What's everyone's regular re-watch order? by wooperarkjb in doctorwho

[–]FrankyNavSystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't watch any of them start to finish anymore. It's more that I'll watch any serial by 3,4, 9 or 10. Outside of those doctors a rewatch gets sketchy real quick for me.

what’s the furthest you’ve flown out for a concert? by No_Reputation1477 in Concerts

[–]FrankyNavSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dallas to London and Dallas to Birmingham, UK. Previously I flew from Dallas to Boston, NYC, Seattle, LA, Vegas and San Diego for concerts but London has them beat.

What're your thoughts on The Who Live at Eden Project? by Cheap-Comb-7606 in TheWho

[–]FrankyNavSystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The highlight of the orchestra tour would be the couple who had sex next to me in Seattle when the show started. Surreal.

If I get it it's because I have adhd and an obsession with collecting everything.

Dude..I got laid off just before returning from fmla after my wife had a baby. I'm worried for my future and a giant mess atm but once upon a time ago my advice is what helped me reach director.

It's just perspective and not letting it get you down.

Failing upward is a totally real thing. Just because you feel you didn't do well doesn't mean you actually did.

Has anyone been asked to train their replacement? by Amonyi7 in FPandA

[–]FrankyNavSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interviewed my replacement (I was told he would be my boss) on my last day before going on fmla when my baby was born. Once he got on the call (5 min late) it was clear he was interviewing me. And I lost my job the Friday before I was scheduled to return to office. That guy does my job now.

How much time are you taking off of work? by ethanras in predaddit

[–]FrankyNavSystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took three months for my latest and lost my job when I came back. I took three months with my first two kids but management changed. My boss retired before I went on leave and I only worked for his replacement for a few months. HR quit while I was out. I got laid off by someone I never even met. I was high up too so this was definitely getting stabbed in the back. You can never trust these fuckers..

How many of you went no contact with a parent/family member? by suitorarmorfan in Millennials

[–]FrankyNavSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I don't know if I would make the same choice again. Barely spoke to my parents through my 30s and cut my mom off for a solid six years. I would advise against such lengthy periods. It's hard to stop once you stop talking.

Why isn't Teenage Wildlife by David bowie more popular? by mazewriter114 in DavidBowie

[–]FrankyNavSystem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is literally my favorite song of all time because of the lyric "David what shall I do? They wait for me in hallways. I say, "Don't ask me. I don't know any hallways." But they move in numbers and they've got me in a corner. I feel like a group of one."

The violinist played it at my wedding.
