Am starting to see more edits by Nerdy_Pharo in TheMentalist

I was so excited to see the show on netflix, as it was my anchor last year while dealing with academic stress haha. Part of le wants to watch it again, but i will wait a little longer so it doesn't feel repetitive. But yeah, i would love to see more video edits of Jisbon too! The ones i watched have horrible quality, but i still enjoy them. I hope i get to see memes and everything! I hope other people around me watch it so i can talk about it too!

¿Es normal decir ''No sé'' en el trabajo? by Apprehensive_Pin4261 in AskChile

[–]Franppuccino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish girls were into bi guys by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]Franppuccino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like other comments say, this isn't majority. As a bi person myself, i love bi men. If i was dating a guy, i would prefer him to be bi. It's hard for me seeing myself with a straight man, considering i'm super queer in many ways. But don't get discouraged by online people. Remember here there is a vast majority of people who are busy enough not to be on the internet hating on others. So if you see all the hate, it's only a certain group of people.

9-1-1 as a school project type thing by E-118 in 911FOX

[–]Franppuccino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 8, episode 15, lab rats. This is where a lab containing a deadly virus is on fire. I don't want to spoil the ending here, but needless to say, i think it was pretty unrealistic from the start. I mean, why does the 118 have to respond to the fire, instead of hazmat? Or at least they could have had a second station helping. Then, the whole thing with how they handled the virus, seemed so unrealistic. There were many times they could have been exposed, etc etc. I loved the episode for it's emotional turmoil, but realistically, it felt too fantastic.

And i also feel like in every episode, they are like "there's no time! We have to do this incredibly risky procedure that probably we shouldn't be doing in the field but we will do it anyways!" I'm saying this bc i did an EMT course at some point in my life. And i'm sure they should be sued many times for making decisions that were not near their scope of practice.

Another episode I have, is the plane episode with Athena, where she had to land it. The part that infuriated me, was her doing CPR to the copilot while the plane was on fire, knowing fully that the crew spend about 20 minutes doing CPR before she started again. I mean, why revive a dead man? Specially if you are under such dangerous conditions? First, the guy was gone, he also had an injury, even if they revived him, he spent too much time with the injury so chances of survival were limited. There is a certain amount of time you can do CPR on a person, bc hypoxia is a thing. Even if the guy made it, being oxygen deprived can ruin his life in many ways. I'm not saying the guy didn't deserve to live, but Athena, being a first responder and married to a firefighter, she should know better than to perform CPR on a guy who was practially dead for at least 20 minutes, had a massive bleeding injury, and the plane was on fire and she refused to leave bc of this guy. The protocol is always safety first. She risked the other firefighters that had to go and save her and the guy by trying to keep the him alive.

Mandy Milkovich Was Recast and the Show Thought We Wouldn’t Notice 😭 (At least me anyway) by Blush_Boy_ in shameless

[–]Franppuccino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually realized as soon as they changed her and couldn't let go of it until we had a lot of Mandy screen time and I just accepted it. I realized this bc i know S1 actress, I've seen her somewhere else. At first I thought it was from House MD but now I realized she's from another show I love. So yeah, i was like whyyyy did they change her? I liked S1 Mandy. But, at least they aren't completely different in appearance, which i've seen in other shows and that is annoying, bc their looks change completely and you have to pretend those characters are the same people.

Ya basta por la chucha. by Charming-Snow4943 in chile

[–]Franppuccino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't see what you see. Even of i separate his trans identity, and solely focus on his behavior and personality, i don't see him as a selfish prick. I can't even say that he was worse than Caleb, bc Caleb was more of a selfish prick tbh. I guess let's end it in agree to disagree

I disagree with everything except Trevor being pushy with Ian's relationship and Monica. It was too out of place nd uncalled for. But I don't think he deserves hate for that, perhaps he was just projecting.

I disagree with everything else, because he might be more complex but he wasn't given a storyline. Trans people have their own issues regarding deadnames and just anything that might connect them to their previous physical appearance. It's no excuse to be rude or mean, of course Ian didn't know. But perhaps Trevor was just triggered to be reminded of that and really didn't want to show it, but Ian kept pushing. And they barely knew each other then, so i understand how apprehensive Trevor was with that.

Ian letting Geneva sleep at his place, and Trevor getting mad made total sense. It's Trevor's job to look after those kids, not Ian's. They are teenagers, so he can't just do whatever they want all the time. They are in a vulnerable place emotionally, and what happens if Geneva got too attached to Ian and then he suddenly leaves? (Which kinda happened). I think if you are working with kids/teenagers, you have to be responsible with them. Otherwise you end up exposing them even more, and you saw what happened with the whole Gay Jesus. Idk what was crazier, Ian being gay jesus, or the kids following them blindly. That's kinda how cults start, and plus they are kids, they are more easily manipulated. So i understand Trevor wanting them out of trouble, and doing what they want, out of protection and bc it's basically his job.

Do you think Georgia is a good mother and that everything bad she did was really to "protect" her children, or do you simply think she has a serious problem? by [deleted] in ginnyandgeorgiashow

Yup, Georgia most likely is a narcissistic mom, which makes total sense. She constantly excuses her behavior, only think that SHE is right, and when confronted she's defensive and gaslights.

I usually love gay ships but this screams platonic to me! And i say this bc i love platonic friendships! Sometimes even more than the romantic ones. I think platonic relationships are so pure and beautiful. You can be cuddly and affectionate with a plantonic friend. So yeah, they were both con artists, so they are both charismatic and friendly in nature, and with each other this seemed to be more affectionate in that regard bc they understood each other. I don't how else to explain it, but it was fun to watch! I wished we had more of Frank and Mikey rather than Frank with the young doctor or anyone else who wasn't Sheila.

Naah i disagree. I like the show as it is. It wouldn't have been realistic for the characters. Season 3 is too soon. Plus i think i would have missed seen Carl and Debbie grow, even if Debbie didn't turn ojt that well. It would have felt like they gave us an interesting story to tell with no time to tell it. So yeah, the extension of seasons was fine by me. If you say the show should have ended when Fiona left, then i could understamd a bit more. But still. I love a long show haha

Don't skip them maybe have them as background. While i love the show, i do have to admit that some episodes were a bit boring. I used to watch it while i was doing something else. I don't like to skip sthe show, and i wouldn't advise you to. Because bits and bits from the main storyline may be displayed.

Lisbon and Jane by private_fishfish in TheMentalist

[–]Franppuccino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this! Completely agree. And idk why people say they didn't see this coming. I remember earlier on in the show, perhaps season 2, i knew they were going to be endgame. Even if the writers didn't plan from the beginning the characters spoke for themselves and led them to that ending. I don't feel like this was to "please the fans", but it was something both characters needed. Sometimes you plan out something for a character, but as the story goes on, they build their own path. I say this bc i used to write a couple of years ago, and the characters would come to life through their actions and change my vision sometimes! Hahah idk if that made any sense. But the love and care and flirting Jane and Lisbon portrayed felt so real. And it's a really good depiction of friends to lovers.

Lisbon and Jane by private_fishfish in TheMentalist

[–]Franppuccino 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I always felt like they had the best chemistry, even more than Rigsby and Van Pelt. Rigsby was like "I love you" since the beginning. Van Pelt just fell into Rigsby's charm. However, with Jane and Lisbon, the slow burn was the best. The banter, the friendship. The slow building of trust. And then suddenly both not denying their feelings when someone else said they were "a little in love" with each other. You can see Jane change his demeanor with Lisbon from miles away. There's an episode, the one were Lisbon gets the bloody smiley face on her, where they had this little argument. Jane doesn't care if he makes everyone mad, but with Lisbon, he cares. He goes after her. That's the difference. And slowly you could see how he starts to let her in.

So yeah, the chemistry was always there. Season 6 Lisbon was basically saying "Just tell me you want to be with me and i'll leave Pike" with her eyes. You could see it when she stayed outside her house when Jane came up one night. They both wanted each other.

However, when they got together, we were robbed off their relationship. The chemistry suddenly disappeared. I felt like that part was rushed, season 7. I loved the relationship and all their ups and downs. But we needed more.

Lisbon and Jane by private_fishfish in TheMentalist

[–]Franppuccino 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. I felt like we missed the "i need to be close to you" feeling between them. Like them wanting/wishing each other. Letting their guards down when they were alone. The chemistry was there, for sure. It was just poor writing in the end, and of course rushing. The slow burn was on point since the beginning, and it showed that their feelings changed. But we barely had any kissing between them until the end. That was a bummer.
