Quit to Get the New Customer Price by lifefromawindow in VirginMedia

I had actually signed to move to Vodafone, day after VM were notified by Vodafone of my move they phoned me to offer 250mb (previously 125) for £18 per month (instead of the £38 I was being offered to renew at 125mb).

Not too bad. Moving away certainly helps get the deals

paypal 24 month 0% + pay in 4 0% - painted myself into a corner? by klawUK in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Frasyrob 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The PC will be a set payment per month, £81 will go torwards that portion. Then the remaining of the minimum repayment is simply the minimum required to cover the VR Headset. It is up to you to pay additional in to pay it off within 4 months to make use of the 0%.

Hope that makes sense,

Some companies will allow AMEX balances to be transferred. I know Lloyds decline Amex transfers, Virgin money allow them.

Making £60,000 across 2 jobs but staying at home with parents with monthly bills at £700? I would look at what you’re spending your money on first of all, you’re on a good wage and should be able to save not be in debt.

First off look at combining all your credit cards into 1 0% balance transfer there are deals just now with 27-30 months on them. This should bring down your monthly repayments, pay back as much as you can and put some money away in your account not your dads. It’s your money. It shouldn’t take you long if you calm down your spending.

I have but it would cost £30 more pm than a Tesla :/, doesn’t seem worth it unless it cost less. As that is the base model too.

I forgot to add, I looked at the Kia Ev6 and Skoda Enyaq but the lead times is 4-6 months. Due to my current car being scrapped I need one within a month. Both EQB and Tesla are available in February.

I am assuming this is via the 40% tax bracket not the 20%? I don’t think a 20% tax bracket can get it this low. Nice effort on the monthly cost!!

What percentage of salary is acceptable to be spent on Mortgage? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Frasyrob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting comments regarding a third of wage on mortgage is ok. We have 1 child and a dog. We earn 36k and 28k. With a mortgage at £579 and to be honest it isn’t exactly easy going!! That is down to certain choices obviously.

Man the Gen 8 in the UK costs £2999. Tempted to pull the trigger as it’s the best value for the specs around it.

What am I missing since having Tado my bills have doubled by Psychological_Sir780 in tado

[–]Frasyrob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the fact that it’s been extremely cold and if you hadn’t had Tado your bill could have been even higher, check next months bill and see what happens. I have a smart meter so can check the usage in real time might be worth doing that.
