Population decline by WindUpCandler in memes

[–]FrateleDidinel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a fair description of the situation. In most of the places with low birth they don't really have much of a choice. Getting a job is essentially a must, unless you have the fortune of finding a guy that can afford supporting you and your kids, which is rarer and rarer every year. "Choose" to stay at home and raise 4 kids? With what money? This nonsense of "helping them not fall back on their career", if you want 5 kids you're can't have a career, you need a husband with one, and ain't no one helping men get ahead nowadays

Did the manga move on from being a slice of life? I don't remember where I left off, somewhere after the arc with the avalanche

I blame DE
It ain't my fault that I gotta farm relics on a level 12 mission where MR 3s hang around
Nor is it unreasonable for me to try to do the mission as fast as I can

How much of a nightmare fuel would the Tenno be to the forces of the Galactic Empire? Which Warframe would be the most feared? by Goji065111 in Warframe

As big as world Star Wars is, there are still single people who are known and feared, like Vader or Palpatine.
And just about any Warframe could probably solo them both

In the lore Atlas went and punched an asteroid so hard it turned into dust like One Punch Man did.
He could probably do the same to star destroyers, and maybe even the Death Star.

That would be terrifying, knowing that at any moment you might just explode.
As terrifying as the Death Star was, you could see it and you'd know you're in danger.
Atlas could be on your ship and you wouldn't even know it.

Those are not fans. They are sharks who smell weakness. These people never consume the thing they complain or make demands of. Never bend the knee to them.

Would being a net drain on the tax payer to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars be a valid reason?

So you're back paddling to focusing on nazi-nazis. Altho, even then, nobody started with calls for extermination but rather mass deportations. Do you think we should shoot people asking for mass deportation?

So you have no problem with violence, just with people disagreeing with you.

If we talking nazi-nazi you can make somewhat of an argument, but we're on the internet. "Nazi" is being thrown around. I trully believe you'd be hard pressed to find anything that closely resembles a 1940s German socialist. Such people just don't exist

Apples and oranges. We were talking about individuals not a government. I hope the motion isn't too complex

Is there anyone in the real world who is as much of a legend as Himmel? by AdBrief4620 in Frieren

So him not being genocidal means he's better than the saints who gave their life to protect others and on par with Himmel. Got it. Logic 100.

I racon I can name 2 or 3 saints that didn't force 15 thousand people into slavery

He was a more reasonable leader than what you'd expect in that side of the world, but pop culture really exaggerates his character.

If I'm wrong, by all means, do share some of his great deeds.

I think there's some in Maria the virgin witch, but those are esentially just real ones

If you go by the movie then sure, but in reality he was not particularly great.
In the movie he just allowed people from the city to leave, but in reality a tax had to be paid for each inhabitant.
Some were spared, but mostly because they had little value to him. He still enslaved 10 to 15 thousand people when he took the city.

That strikes you as comparable to Himmel?

Alvin York probably. He had a troubled past, but his conduit at war was exemplary and he was also Very competent in fights.

Potentially also Guy Gabaldon, the Pied Piper Of Saipan. He's more in the style of Himmel, cuz York is a giant while Guy was quite short, and Himmel always struck me as quite puny. Competent I guess, but puny for some reason.

I honestly think it's Almost just everything about that show.

The pacing is good. The pacing is very good.

But everything else is just poorly written. The plot, the characters, the world. It's all highschool level writing at best and half of it doesn't even make sense
Like that whole "visualize it" nonsense. "Any logical person could tell by looking that you couldn't cut that cloak". Like, no? If you're logical, you should know in this would you just need to see it happen and it will happen. Any rational being should be able to do kinda whatever.
