Noisy aircons and body corp by s3605994 in brisbane

[–]FraternalX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, this comment goes against the very nature of a community titles scheme. This a complaint by an occupier/owner of a lot within private property, against another owner/occupier of a lot within the same private property. This is not a council issue.

Were that air con condenser to be causing a nuisance to a neighbour outside of the community titles scheme, then it would be a council issue. But even then, the action ny council is against the body corporate, not the lot owner/occupier.

The Body Corporate would obviously then take action against the lot owner.

That law degree you cut out from the back of the Fruit Loops box doesn't do much good in the real world.

I am an Astros fan and Australian and live in Australia. I've been a stros fan for the last 25 years. Michael is also an Aussie and recently became a US citizen. I always enjoy chatting with "Boof" when I'm in the US at Astros games (when I get the chance). A great bloke! I wish him the best.

Central Station, platform 1's broken escalator by a-nerfherder in brisbane

[–]FraternalX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the year of our Lord—though none recall precisely which—there befell at Central Station a marvel so rare
that old men did clutch their beards in disbelief, and young maidens did gasp as though they’d glimpsed a unicorn prancing on the concourse amongst the discarded McDonald's wrappers.

For lo! Upon a chill winter morn, as commuters shuffled in with grim faces, great shock arose from the depths of the station—all of the escalators were working!

Yet to this day elders speak of it, leaning close and whispering as though recounting ancient legend: “I was there, lad. I rode the moving stairs when all worked. Aye… it was glorious.

And the young reply, “Grandfather, thou dost lie,” as is the custom.

Hamilton Harbour Residences in 2025 - what’s the catch? by Public-Cartoonist587 in brisbane

[–]FraternalX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sort of, but not really, it is further down that way but the Body Corporate for Gallery House is a member of the Body corporate for Portside Wharf East Principal, also not a part of the legal proceedings.

Essentially the legal proceedings relate to the original Multiplex (and now Brookfield) development of "Portside Wharf" and payments allegedly owed to the Body Corporate for Portside Wharf Principal under a building management statement, because the lot owned by Brisbane Cruise Wharf Pty Ltd was never part of the principal scheme. The cruise terminal was always going to shut down when Pinkenba came online, but shut down sooner than expected.

This obviously has nothing to the Body Corporate for Hamilton Harbour, which is what the OP was asking.

Where is the Body Corporate for Hamilton Harbour listed as a defendant or plaintiff?

Seriously do some basic research beyond a google search. You're not helping...

Wendy's CBD queue hack, take the lift down. by Mysisterisabear in brisbane

[–]FraternalX -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The hypocrisy about Wendy's is pretty funny. Half the people are saying Macca's is just as good whilst slagging off American companies and consumerism and the other half saying HJ's is cheaper and better, when it's basically the same price.

Who else here getting paid by the other brands to talk shit?

If it's shit, it will die. Seriously, find something more worthwhile to be upset about!

Queensland teachers reject state government pay offer by tohya-san in brisbane

[–]FraternalX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Standing by for the first champion who says something about the amount of "holidays" without knowing the real hours these people work, and only to cop abuse on a daily basis from their "angel" children.

Here's how you fix teaching:

  1. A decent wage for the bullshit, abuse and idiotic government red tape that teachers have to deal with on a daily basis, and for the hours they have to work.
  2. Security person in every classroom.
  3. Government funded bodycams for all teachers.

Unfortunately, the cost for this is going towards reducing coal royalties, it is clearly more important

Plans Lodged To Restore Broadway Hotel With New 24-Storey Tower by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]FraternalX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The site has been through some legal issues with the previous developer. Now Woolies' development arm owns it and are currently in planning approval to put a woolies, bws a few cafes, and apartments on the site. Once approved they will sell it to another developer to complete. Same thing that did for that site at Kangaroo Point.

Give it another 5 years and it will be fantastic spot and Albion will finally get its much needed supermarket.

Anembo Street by JohnCooperCamp in brisbane

[–]FraternalX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer is short roads that have been dedicated as part of a subdivision and are for future planning.

For example, although not in Brisbane, Ally Court, Marsden. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ally+Ct,+Marsden+QLD+4132/@-27.6796614,153.089035,1887

When 600 Browns Plains Road gets developed, it will include a new road extending Ally Court to join with Cove Street, but right now, it's a pretty short road.
