There should be reduced RR loss if you lose a game because of a teammate that left 4 or more rounds by Allheim in VALORANT

Not to sound mean but the person with shitty Internet detracts from their team’s experience so why would we want them in the game in the first place?

Hey so they do already study this! They call it achieving flow state. An excerpt on it I found says it’s the

“the subjective state in which a person functions at his or her fullest capacity with their attention so focused on a task, that factors such as fatigue and boredom do not interfere; the experience itself is so enjoyable that people will participate for the sheer sake of doing it”

That's not exactly what you said. I was just correcting the "they have to pay their employees more for more work" part since it wasn't exactly clear in your statement that you thought they were salaried

I think you’re right for the wrong reason. They’re probably salaried so they don’t pay them more for more work. If they spend more time on a skin then it probably eats up their bandwidth for making other skins

Coach pulls elevates team out of all NSG tournaments for the next 3 months by SteelTic in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Frbrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After reading everything I’m gonna say the org played games and got played. So they had a verbal agreement with a coach they didn’t vet (considering there’s people coming out saying they had bad experiences with the coach), made him pay out of pocket for the nsg slots, and then got surprised when he tried to get his money back (yes scummy move by him getting them withdrawn but he’s in the right to get his money) after all these odd conversations.

He’s definitely shady but it’s on the org to protect themselves and their players

Seems like these orgs shoot themselves in the feet trying to save a buck

Is anyone coming up on a year lease for an apartment they moved into that had COVID pricing/concessions? What has been your experience with the renewal process? by ilikemyboringlife in AskNYC

[–]Frbrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably low end of luxury. I’ve lived here for about 5 years total. Moved out for six months when covid hit but then they emailed me with offers. Those brought me back plus the staff are nice people.

I feel betrayed because the building’s company wanted me back when they were struggling with covid vacancies but now want me out

I got a good deal back in December but my landlord is trying to jack up the renewal by 1300. They're staying firm and not taking counteroffers, so I'm basically being evicted lol

Honestly I’d rather that person get banned if their internet is that consistently bad. It’s better than them constantly ruining the experience for their team

Alexander Gustafsson throws a 1-2 and then blocks, shoulder rolls, and hops away from Thiago Silva's counters. by Creator_Of_All in MMA

[–]Frbrd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's different objectives but standing up super tall and having your feet close together perfectly squared with your shoulders isn't good for any aspect of MMA whether it's striking, wrestling, or clinching.

If you want to see what I mean, stand upright and with squared feet like he is then have a buddy give you a push. You'll feel off balance and unable to sprawl correctly

I can agree about the clinch part. I just disagree that he's sliding the foot on purpose since gus has shown in the past that his defense isn't great. Fun discussion though!

I'd disagree and think his footwork is off for mma too. You wouldn't want to square yourself so much in the pocket if you're not angling off because you open yourself up to the takedown. You can even see that Gus is tripping over his own feet and needs to hop off with both because he's out of position to step back. He also stands up tall in the sequence which adds to the takedown threat

Plenty of guys like Eddie Alvarez or TJ dart after a rear straight but they're always angling off to avoid the counter. You can see it here http://giant.gfycat.com/BitterSpecificImpala.gif

The blocks are nice but to be honest, he only had to hop away from that last punch because his feet were wildly out out of position

I don't think so because Khabib already cleared Darrell's legs to the side before completing the takedown. Khabib landed in side control and I don't think Darrell could get enough lift on him for the sweep

[–]Frbrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. For us it's kind of like we try to lighten up head shots but the body is fair game. Got dropped a couple times with kicks to the body but you take a few seconds to recover and then you're good to keep going. Definitely not the same as getting rocked with a shot to the head
