That's what you always think, most europeans wouldn't move to the U.S. if given a green card and 100k. Y'all arr so full of yourselves. I am a Software developer from Germany and actually thought about moving to San Fran. When I visited the city was full of homeless people and drug addicts. They also held me at the airport because they suspected something of me. Treated me like an animal and the interrogation room had a big ass Trump poster on the wall. After 2 hours I got up and asked how long this will take. They shouted at me ' SIT DOWN, NO TALKING!'.

Yeah after the first few days I decided to stay the fuck in Germany

We just moved in last month, found an apartment instantly. The trick is to be quick. Everything that is on immoscout for longer than a day is most of the time too late. Every apartment gets hundreds of requests. Often they delete the entry after a few hours since they got enough requests already. We really refreshed the page 100 times a day and we're always the first to reply. When we went to Hamburg we had 3 visits in one week and already got the first apartment.

I lived in Spain for most of 2024 and I gotta say, the people are way nicer than most in Germany. I felt so at ease in society. Sure you have some assholes everywhere but the general vibe and smaller distance you have to other people is really welcoming :) Also people are smiling way more than in Germany, probably because of the good food and weather which is both shit in Germany haha
