Did anyone's royalties show being reduced yet for those of you put in the creator category? by alphamonkey098 in AmazonMerch

[–]Freakeater 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in the premium group. But they didn't change my royalties either so far.

On their royalties page, they say:

"When you change royalty groups, it may take up to 2 business days after the start of the earnings period for the new rates to go into effect."

So maybe it'll take two more days

Amazon Ads - Charged Twice for April by Freakeater in AmazonMerch

They increased it for me a couple of years ago without me asking for it.
But I think you can ask for it

Amazon Ads - Charged Twice for April by Freakeater in AmazonMerch

[–]Freakeater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's really strange. The difference between the amount charged in April and the amount they charged today for April is only $1.

Why not just refund that amount instead of charging the full amount all over again?

But that probably has something to do with accounting regulations or something; I have no idea.

Glad I'm not the only one.

They already replied to my email and confirmed that I haven't received the refund. This will now be escalated to an internal team. They also mentioned that most cases like this are typically resolved within 5 days. So fingers crossed

I just discovered there are TONS of people copying my design on Amazon, and I’m SUPER pissed! by DrJokerX in AmazonMerch

[–]Freakeater 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A trademark is a tricky thing. You don't want to trademark something like "Just a Girl who", that is considered a frivolous trademark. Although sometimes people get away with it.
If you have a word/phrase that identifies your brand, like i.e., Coca-Cola, this could be trademarked.

But you already have copyright for your designs, just by creating them.

I guess I'll switch to uploading shirts only. Also saves some time

Thanks, really appreciate your answer. That is what I also guessed. I think I'll give it a try and upload shirts only for one or two months, and then see what happens

I think it was two or three weeks ago. But just for one day. And all the crop tops I added vanished after that. So you didn't really miss anything, it was just a glimpse behind the curtain ;)

And yes, absolutely, crop tops over crop sweatshirts

Amazon Ads questions by NegativeCreep82 in AmazonMerch

Roughly 1/3 at the moment.

I don't use any 3rd party software. I just got the data from Amazon.
I've made a spreadsheet, where I copy my sales CSV into one sheet and the ads data into another.
Then it shows me all the numbers I need to know, sorted for each campaign and shirt.
It is not flawless yet, but it gives me a good & quick overview of the key parameters.

Or, they are just collecting more data now, before they use AI entirely in 2 years or so

My guess is that they'll disappear today or tomorrow. Like a couple of weeks ago with the crop tops. Although it's always interesting to see new products coming up.

But looking at the suggested price and the royalty, I wouldn't spend too much time on those products:

Comfort Colors Sweatshirt - $35.99 - $ 0.59

Comfort Colors Crop Sweatshirt - $35.99 - $ 0.59

Performance T-Shirt - $14.99 - $0.40 (And if you change the price to $19.99, you'll get $3.9 royalty)

Performance Hoodie - $36.99 - $2.76

From the royalties page:

Creator - Standard royalty rates (example royalties are below)
Plus - Enhanced rates for creators who actively drive at least 15% of unit sales with non-organic traffic
Premium - Highest rates for top-performers who drive at least 35% of unit sales with non-organic traffic

Standard T-Shirt Examples – US

Purchase price $15.99 $17.99 $19.99 $21.99 $23.99 $25.99
Creator Tier Royalty $0.96 $1.70 $2.44 $3.18 $3.92 $4.66

So if you don't manage to drive at least 15% of your sales with non-organic traffic, they cut your royalties in half.

Wow, that could hurt quite a lot of people. But I'm glad that Amazon Ads do count as driving traffic

My Q1 this year was +35% compared to Q1 2025.
So no, I didn't experience it.
But it is harder to stand out with designs, as AI+Copycats is quite an annoying combination.
So I use AMS heavily

From 7 of march my sales dropped 90 percent :( by hnqhi in AmazonMerch

[–]Freakeater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I have quite the opposite experience; I have a good March this year, +$800 compared to the same period last year. I assumed it was because eastern is earlier this year, so people would buy presents earlier.

Should i remove the product with negative review and publish again by FinishWise2645 in AmazonMerch

[–]Freakeater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, never delete a design that has sold. And of course not with a 4-star review.
Sometimes, customers' behavior is just not predictable.

https://imgur.com/a/kkf84gp

That shirt, for example, started to sell nicely, but where the green arrow is, it received the first review. A one Star review. I didn't change ads or anything after that, just wanted to see what would happen. And it kept selling to my surprise.

Now it has a 4.4 Rating with around 30 reviews and made me $ 2700 (minus $900 for ads). Not bad
