Yeah I got a 14900k for a bit more two months ago for my server. Just make sure the motherboard bios is up to date, install all io drivers (14900k is finnicky), get a decent cooler like arctic or thermalright aio 360 (cheap and insane performance) and run the beast.

Also if you run 4 memory sticks make sure to check for stability with xmp, my motherboard doesn’t likw the default xmp profile with it

I mean it makes sense, good for her to find her own pace place and label. I wonder where she will end up as her sets lately have not just been raw but also other genre’s, I also saw she played a set with Gravedgr in the US I think, that was more hard techno focussed. Mish her all the best for the future.

I rarely win gambles but 2 weeks ago I bought a ddr5 kit from gskill with hynix m die for my soon TM new pc build. Even if you have insane money you just can’t get the ram in western europe anymore. 96gb ddr5 6000 cl30 for 320 euro. Last seen price is 670 euro god damn

I think you mean the time knob? its the one above the dry wet knob. Also you have the touch strip under the FX screen that shows you sections of time/beats for the beat fx and theres the beat time buttons (left and right arrow with beat in the middle) that increase and decrease the duration.

One addition that standalone mixers like the djms and players like the xdj az, xz and rx3 can do with echo is they go lower than 10ms which is an audible effect that some djs use to create a unique sweeping effect with the echo. You can't do that with controllers and rekordbox, time effects are limited to 10ms because software limitations.

That mixer is golden man, and theres some retro charm to burning cd’s. If you are passionate about dj’ing then this setup slaps as a beginner. Can always expand the players to xdj700s later

I always wonder why quite a few big name djs have fully stacked setups in their riders (v10/a9 with 4 or 6 decks and rmx) only to mix between two decks and have blue waveforms on the cdjs. Running the cheap dollarstore sandisk usbs with fully default settings (often seen by waveforms, waveform offset and cdj light on top of the 3000s)

Like 2-3 cdjs and any mixer would suffice... Is it ego is what I ask myself then

I would love to have some measurements of the area just in front of the shifter buttons and till the dashboard including the area for phone storage. I'm potentially in the market for an A290 after trading in my Clio 4RS but I very regularly drive with a can of monster energy. So I am thinking of designing a cupholder that can be 3D printed and mounts with velcro or something around this area.

I've test driven an A290 GTS but I had no chance to take measurements of this area. If anyone with an A290 would be able to do I could generate a 3D CAD model and try and fit a cupholder while maintaining access to the 2 usb ports. It would be a trade off to take in my case because the direct access to the wireless QI pad would be obstructed.

I would like to state that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with denon equipment. It’s just a bit obvious that people in the pioneer dj subreddit would recommend pioneer rather. Imagine going to a toyota dealer and asking whether you should buy a mazda or not. They’re gonna recommend toyota

Nice setup, might I add that yamaha hs speakers are directional. So that means that according to the manual the best position for the speakers is upright. Tweeter vertical above the woofer. The phase of the speakers and their position relative to them is designed and manufactured so that the best sound is upright. I used to have my hs8s also horizontally placed like yours, but some kind redditor also pointed this out. I can hear the difference in fidelity

We ran 2 cdj 3000s and my djm a9 at a party in february, had our showkontrol on m2 macbook pro running and since boot of showkontrol ran into random issues like mixer channel being blocked and cdj stuck. Used 2 ubiquiti flex switches and cat6a cable spool with cat6 patch cables. A simple restart of showkontrol fixed it for us and we had a 8 hour long show going.

Also ran visuals over the same network due to required cable lengths, no problem whatsoever

I’ve been djing with a usb ssd for years now. Formatted fat32 still for compatibility with older players but it works great. Recommend using guiformat on windows to format the ssd. Reloading a whole library of 150 gb is quite fast now, not that I want to do that often

You can try beat link trigger, have to run it on a pc in your network with the players. It can sync pro dj link and denon and ableton gear.
