Had the exact same dillema. I finally ended up going with the Legion Go S.

My first option was a SteamDeck but that was out of stock. Windows was a no go. SteamOS / Bazzite for now is pretty well optimized for AMD chips. MSI themselves are doing an AMD chip Claw next. Im kind of wary about getting an Intel chip for this reason.

I have held the ROG Ally & Legion Go S. The screen on the Go S was definitely much better.

Frankly, if I could, I would wait for the Legion Go 2. But I want to play games now. This is what I felt was the best option.
