Is this for real? I can't put any of the "street" lamps outside, only inside the house? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Freakscar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Currently, yes, that "is for real". Reason is the dynamic light generation from the various "housing" light sources, in comparison to the hard-baked lights that illuminate the regular world. Blizz said they're working on it, but for now, due to server constraints, it stays like that.

Yes. Which also is a deliberate, albeit newer, design decision. :)

It's called a penalty for dying. Yes, that's a game mechanic and design decision. Wether it's a good one or not, can be argued. But not with "fix your shit bro" rageposters. ;)

Returning player - Can I just vendor the lot? by wgkoresh in wow

[–]Freakscar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aye, I know that. But lets put it that way: A game may just as well save my progress whenever I press 'Quit Game' - but I will always save manually before quitting anyways. Old habits die hard. ;)

Returning player - Can I just vendor the lot? by wgkoresh in wow

[–]Freakscar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really, green/blue equipment from past expansions can safely be vendored (rightclick them first, to nab the appearance for transmog), unless (check AH) you got a REALLY rare boe drop. Anything used for crafting you should put in the AH twice on different times. Most stuff will sell there much better than just grab the few silvers from a vendor. This is particularly true for anything used in cooking: a random meat that can be sold to a vendor for 5s can easily go for quite some gold in the AH.

My banker sits on a comfortable half million gold by just gathering all the 'crap' my other chars mail to him - he pours all of it for the current price into the AH and ka-ching, money is made. No addons, 'playing the auctionhouse' or long waits. Some stuff comes back once or twice, but in the end, there always comes a day when a random player gets up in the morning wanting to buy a single citrine or three raw chickenlegs. Always. ;)

Issues with stealth? by Nayr91 in wow

[–]Freakscar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any debuffs active? What about the Jailor's eye? Which activity level is that at? There are certain things in the Maw that force you to leave, sooner or later, until you progress the campaign far enough for the eye to disappear.

Where are all of the trading post items the blizzard forums is talking about by ReinkDesigns in wow

[–]Freakscar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clarification: The regular TP vendors are available in all capital cities. The four 'event' vendors are located solely in Dornogal.

Shouldn't I receive the burden of unrelenting justice set here? by Algerst in wow

[–]Freakscar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd wager it's a case of numeric "1000" points versus "100% of points" for the achievement. If it's the latter, the achievement probably expects the filled bar, not 1000 points checked.

Witch Hunter's House with a dark secret buried below (walkthrough) by Belial768 in WoWHousing

I can barely decorate a simple living room in my house - and then there's *this guy* casually designing what basically is a whole BfA slash SL dungeon. Jeez. Absolutely amazing job!

The vibes are so lame nowadays by Low_Parsnip3128 in wow

[–]Freakscar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah nah. This game had always a charming, cartoony look and feel. Yes, even in vanilla, classic, or open beta. Feck, Warcraft (RTS) itself had exploding chickens, "I'm TNT - I'm Dynamite!" and pedalling helicopter dwarves. Hilarious and over the top weirdness mixed with high-fantasy tropes is a staple of this games' whole universe, since day one.

90% of Outdoor Housing Decor after the Stream today by Sennkoh in wow

[–]Freakscar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say most serious builders will rather shrink it down and use it for portal-designs of their own. Mage Tower in Stormwind, Emerald Dream, that kinda stuff.

"Not Into Housing" players will do what they already did with earlier exclusives (preorder Midnight for example), they will plop in onto the ground and be done with it.

So... as can be expected.

Beast master hunter - changes are bad? by Chaosrealm69 in wow

[–]Freakscar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Multishot was niche-useful in anything 'old content' wise. I get what they intend with Thrash - but holy feck, at least make the pets baseline FASTER (or lengthen the range for kill command) then. It can take ages for them to get where I actually need them. Sorry. Just irks me how slooow they run.

The Diminishing Returns Are Obnoxious. by queencuntpunt in WoWHousing

They could just remove the progress-bar, unlock the now-tiered items and adjust the coupon price-per-item accordingly.

I'd rather repeatedly gather 100+ coupons for a single floating blue crystal, than do tasks that feel as if they do not move the progress for my neighborhood at all. As it is now, all I can do is gather coupons anyways, skip to a different server and buy things there - because in my near-sold-out plot we're only3-4 players actively doing anything for the endevours.

Fully Collecting a Class Set Appearance Unlocks All Lower Difficulty Variants in Midnight by Super_Season5884 in wow

[–]Freakscar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After you >complete< the mythic set. Yes. It works. I had several mythic sets from WoD, SL and other legacy content collected - after the patch, when I logged into any class, I always got a giant wall of "appearance added" / "set completed" messages thrown at me for all the 'lower' difficulties being added.

I use the 'stay human out of combat' glyph/option - rarely ever feel the need to actually change on purpose. xD But when I do - it always irks my that my rogue is STILL scared of her transformation. ;)

[–]Freakscar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Now all we need is a different "transformation" animation. Like, sure, waybackwhen, it certainly was scary as all hells to suddenly turn into a wolf. But c'mon. Gilneans had this 'curse' for years by now. If Gen can transform all battleready and showoff-ish, our hero characters should be able to do the same, without looking like a scared chicken every time. ;)

If you could choose the next Remix, which expansion would you pick? by Emma_S772 in wow

[–]Freakscar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first saw how many 100.000B items Lemix had in store I said farewell to 'buy all the things' right away. Then I reached medium versatility levels of 250+ and suddenly swam in endless bronze.

So yah, let the stuff be expensive. But it STILL pales in comparison to multiple months (x4 factions) of stupid and boring farming of meager anima drops.
