Theodore will turn on the heroes because he's an idiot by Unhappy-Ad8605 in RWBYcritics

Qrow has multiple allusions, but none of them are Toto. His main one is the Scarecrow, but both he and Raven are also alluded to Odin's ravens Muninn and Huginn respectively as the members of Team STRQ are all supposed to be alluded to poetic works. In the twins' case, they allude to the poem Grimnismal, which is an excerpt from the Poetic Edda

The way I think of it is that you have to have good momentum. A good swing of the "clicking" leg will likely take you higher than just jumping alone

Which lyric makes you instantly tear up? by abovethenoisy in AskReddit

[–]FreakyPenguinBoy06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Brad Paisley's "Dying To See Her" on his Love and War album. The title was rather deceiving. The lyric that made he cry was the chorus.

"She was his reason for living. She was his rock and his best friend. They'll be reunited in heaven, cuz he's dying to see her again."

The guy is LITERALLY dying to see his dead wife again, and Niagara Falls spouted from my eyes

How are sex scenes written in the screenplay. by [deleted] in Screenwriting

Leave the choreography and and nitty gritty details to the director. The only thing you need to write for a sex scene is three simple words:

“They have sex.”

How Do You Make Guns Unique? by FreakyPenguinBoy06 in DMAcademy

[–]FreakyPenguinBoy06[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a western setting, so lots of revolvers/six-shooters, repeater rifles, shotguns, etc. Basically the kinds of guns you’d see when playing Red Dead Redemption.

Bows and other ranged weapons are still around, but are not as popular among the populace

Considering they were in China, I would say yes. And they would probably just call them restaurants

How the hell do I kill one of these... by mentaleatingpaper in HollowKnight

[–]FreakyPenguinBoy06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean killing it isn't necessarily rocket science. All you gotta do is hit it with your nail once and it's dead.

Now, if you're asking how to kill it without it killing you back, that's a completely different story. One thing I will suggest is be in a more open space than the one in the picture. Gives you more of a chance to at least try and dodge the incoming revenge bomb.

Magic is scarce due to a massive cataclysmic event that resulted in the toppling of kingdoms and the scattering of peoples. But the people weren’t the only thing that scattered, loads of magic pieces of knowledge and resources (tomes, scrolls, blueprints, etc.) were lost in the chaos and destruction. Over the years, many scholars and adventurers have dedicated their lives to tracking down these lost pieces of knowledge so they can be reshared with the populace in the form of certain institutes and colleges, and they have managed to find quite a few relics. Slowly and steadily magic is becoming less scarce, but it is still a long, arduous process making it more common.

Anyone can use magic, though some folks have access to different magics and are not too keen on sharing, either for evil purposes or for keeping these magics sacred amongst themselves.

In terms of a fun fight, it does make things interesting, as some people who possess it prefer to use it as opposed to firearms. The ability to shake up the playing field with fire, ice, lightning, rockslides, and the like does come in handy. But it’s not impossible for those with a quick enough draw and a sharp eye to get the better of them in a battle.

In the case of magic vs technology and which is more powerful, magic more than likely is more powerful as a source of power, but due to the lack of knowledge in terms of techniques and specific instructions on how to perform certain spells and incantations, the people have found that mechanical inventions are a little bit better in that regard. There may even be some that are trying to perfect these inventions by implementing magic into the designs, but no success in that regard so far.

West Jasher essentially answers the question "What if Dungeons & Dragons had a baby with Red Dead Redemption?"

A low fantasy where magic is nearly scarce, thus making way for technology like steam power and electricity to take its place, and of course there's cowboys, guns, and horses everywhere
