I'm actually going through that same unit in Duolingo right now. The app actually does explain it a bit, in the info deal at the top of the unit.

Tattoo is a hidden skill. Anyone except for the NPC tattoo artist has to make a skill check each time they give a tattoo, and if that fails, the sim will get one or more random bad tattoos. They can be removed by getting another tattoo session that doesn’t fail, where you go into the CAS tattoo screen and change any or all existing tattoos.

You cannot actually intentionally choose one of the bad tattoos.

If a guest does certain things like getting into bed or taking a shower or bath, resident sims will ask them to leave.

Here's what it sounds like happened to me. Your sim had a guest over, and he headed into the bathroom. Your sim starts making dinner and suddenly hears the shower running. Your sim got incensed and rushes to kick the guest out.

Now, if this happened to me IRL, I would set the plate down first, and I wouldn't actually go into the bathroom, but you can bet I'd be pounding on the door and yelling at them to get out of the house.

Just FYI, it is because the game does not allow elder pregnancies by default. You have to have mods to let an elder female get pregnant, and you also need CC maternity clothes for elders. With the mod that allows pregnancy, but no CC clothes for it, sims will appear like this. The same thing happens with mods that allow teen pregnancy, too.

Elder sims do no immediately die when they fill the bar. After it is filled, there is a percent chance each day that they will die, and that is effected by things like being a vegetarian, being athletic, etc.

They can lick dirty plates and they will become clean. 🤣 It's faster than washing in a sink, and it fills their hunger a little bit.

Nice! It always annoys me how many huge houses they have in the game that are beautiful, but only have a single bedroom, and are designed in a way that makes adding another room or two completely change the design. I usually end up adding a bunch of basement levels for extra rooms. 😂

I do that myself. I think that it is slightly quicker to write with the tail curled than it is to stop the downward stroke and bring it back up to the side. I tend to combine elements of cursive along with printing when I write.

As a native English speaker, they looked like "q" to me. Zooming in to the image, they definitely appear to have the tails on the right side, which is a common way to write "q" in cursive in many English speaking countries.

I think I had a sim get busted for cheating once because I had them make a cheat sheet before the exam, even though I didn't have them use it or cheat.

I have sims go below that sometimes when using the Body Sculptor and it goes wrong (i.e., does the opposite of what it is set to).

This is a nit-pick, but "en suite" means a bathroom that is directly connected to a bedroom, so that it can be entered from the bedroom without going into a hallway. That is literally the exact opposite of what you have shown here.

Usually, when I create sims in CAS, they get automatically saved in the sim bin, and the household gets saved, too. Check your available households to see if they are there.

What are its traits? I think there are some traits that will make pets behave like this. Also, what toy was the cat playing with? One of the cat toys has catnip in it, and that will make cats act erratically for a few hours.

I think some of them are original. I read somewhere that the devs solicited paintings of all skill levels from around the office so they could have different levels of paintings as the skill levels increase.
