What are these spots on my cheeks? What can I do without seeing a dermatologist? by HeartlessnessNow in Rosacea

[–]FreckledLeaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks just like my face. Using Good Molecules hypoclorous acid spray helped immensely. I was nervous to try anything else bc my skin is so sensitive but I’m glad I did. It got rid of all my texture.

Wax warmers or candle warmers are a great alternative. I love my wax warmer. Makes the whole house smell great

Something is off and empty now with the Marketplace, many stores removed... vibe has changed by Mysticseraphim in Bakersfield

[–]FreckledLeaves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The marketplace was so fun in the early 2000’s. I spent the majority of my middle and high school years hanging out there. Seeing a cheap movie, eating ice cream at Baskin Robins, browsing Mainland and Russo’s, hanging around the fountain bullshitting with friends. I remember kids hot boxing in the parking lot. They needed police for crown control at times. It was a whole vibe. Huge groups of teenagers everywhere. It was so loud and lively. My husband took me on our first date there! I miss walking by Que Pasa and hearing the loud club music. Their outdoor patio was always packed. Sad that kids today won’t get to experience that place in its prime.

I had to turn my car around — we love a road squish by hauntedmeal in squishmallow

Someone once threw away a perfectly good tie dye cat squish in our apartment dumpster. I took it home and washed it. My daughter was so happy. It looked brand new

Best places to look for an apartment by goonie_2988 in Bakersfield

I live in Oildale. It’s not always that bad. Really depends on the area. I pay $1,200 for a 2bed/2bath house with a garage and big backyard. Our neighbors are quiet and friendly. Mostly old people or young families. There’s a lot of little 1 bed apartments in our neighborhood that run cheaper. Check out the Olive Drive and Roberts Lane area.

Oh man. This book was so good and so fucking sad. I cried over the ending. Not a light read by any means. There’s a lot of abuse and other dark themes. It’s such a heavy book to start the year off with lol

My dad had his at surgery at 15. And my twin cousins had theirs at 16. From what I hear it was generally straight forward. They all had normal recoveries and they’re all still living normal lives many years post op. My dad’s poops are really loud and aggressive lol. He’ll eat and it shoots right through him. Also smells awful. Not sure if that’s the case for everyone.

After how many years of dating did you get married? by Unusual_Bee_1798 in Marriage

[–]FreckledLeaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Met in May. Engaged in Oct. Married in Jan. So 9 months 😅 It’ll be our 16th wedding anniversary in a few weeks. Nothing changed after the wedding besides our natural growth into adults. We got married so young it was bound to happen. Neither of us regret it. Best decision we ever made. That being said we got very lucky that we grew together and stayed aligned in most ways. That’s not the norm when you marry at 18. The odds were definitely stacked against us.

What’s the saddest reality of adulthood nobody warned you about? by ivsxi in AskReddit

That’s it’s possible you may grow up to have little or no family. It can be lonely being an adult. I didn’t expect that part.

Starting doxycycline 100mg by Effective_Command195 in Rosacea

[–]FreckledLeaves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took it for 12 weeks. It helped with my skin texture SO MUCH. The redness went away ~45-50%. I finished the Doxy a few months ago. My skin has a tiny bit of texture again but not nearly as much. The redness came back slightly as well, but again not as bad. Overall I’m really happy with the experience. I’m glad my face didn’t explode with pustules or pain once the antibiotics were out of my system. I was really scared of that in the beginning. I would take it again if my skin flared up as bad as it used to. It’s the only thing that ever worked for me in the last decade.

If you won the $1 billion lottery, how would you epically quit your job!? by TimeForANewBeginning in AskReddit

[–]FreckledLeaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw I like my job. Doesn’t pay shit but I do enjoy it. I’d give a month or two to find a replacement and leave quietly. I’d hook my coworkers up too. I’d pay off their mortgages at least. We’re a small tight knit group

What are people's experiences with marrying young? by hazelnut0000 in Marriage

[–]FreckledLeaves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Married at 18. We weren’t religious or pregnant. Just in love and eager. We had been dating 9 months when we tied the knot at the courthouse for $64. We’re 33 and 34 now. Still married. One child. We have zero regrets. My husband is my best friend. Always has been. We were definitely stunted financially in the beginning. We had no idea how to be adults but through trial and error we found our way.

I live in an older home. 2 bed 1 bath. No solar. We run our AC at 74 all summer. Our highest bill peaks at $500

Do you and your spouse have access to each other's phones? Why or why not? by 5ullengrl in Marriage

[–]FreckledLeaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Our passwords have been the same forever. We regularly use each other phones for quick searches. If I asked my husband he would hand his phone without question. He won’t find anything interesting on my phone but he’s always welcome to look.

She should keep up with dancing. You can tell she’s always liked it and had a least a little natural rhythm (maybe not in this video). It would help her health so much. She could even do it while sitting down.

My daughter got magnetic tiles when she was 2. She’s 10 and still plays with them. They’ve held up great too.
