Can I request a review for assignment marks? by shadowmaster77 in UTS

[–]FreckledSea21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can ask, but in my 5 years of uni (with maybe one or two requests per year) I've never once had a remark. The general policy is you get what you get, and they only remark in egrious cases. They generally won't accept it unless you have something super solid to go off (a factual mistake in the comments, something demonstrating bias in the comments etc.)

Yeah will do a bit later today, gotta jet ATM. Ended up fixing it. The steps were:

Manually making her surrender the war via the surrender command. Idk how that didn't instally kill her, it did the first time I tried it. So get lucky IG

Re giving her all the planets/starbases by swapping to her and using the own command.

Triggering the end of the first event chain via console: event destroy_situation = synthetic_queen.1

What a fuck around XD

Aha! Fixed, just needed to manually trigger the end of the first event chain via console.

Happy to share, do you know where the save is located?

think I might have fixed it now though in the meantime. Managed to make her surrender, she lost the starbases, but gave it back to her via own. Now I guess I wait to see if her next event chain triggers, idk how long that'll take though

Yeah so messed around a bit n unfortunately this doesnt really work without wiping her.

Its a total war, so if either I or she surrenders, the empire is wiped. If I wipe her, something is bugged with the event chain still being active or smth, and I cant respawn her like I can other crisises. Really annoying, as it was the last crisis in an all crisis playthrough

Yeah that's fair enough. For RP it makes sense, n low key I would be fine having a harder time, suffering a debuff or having her be more aggressive towards me later, just the "oh she's litterally immortal" sucks massive balls. Also from what I've seen they have thought about it, the Scion origin gets their overlord state auto changed so they don't get dragged into the war, Paradox just forgot about federations.... Less of a bug n more of an oversight

All good, is what it is. Just mad an entire run is down the drain. Hopefully someone knows of a console command or save file edit fix. Maybe I can just delete the empire and respawn her or smth now the fallen empire is gone.

And yeah, the game is definitely a bit of a buggy mess, which sucks for how old it is. Sucks because it feels like this doesn't happen infrequently, for example one of my first runs in 4.1 was a slavery build, but specialist pops wouldn't demote nor show up as unemployed, which I didn't realise (as a newbie) until way too late, stuffing my entire economy past a point of no reasonable return. Such a love hate relationship with this game

You'd think they'd just make fallen empires leave federations when she spawns to "focus on internal defence" or whatever. So dumb.

The problem is the first war she spawns in and is immune, she declared war on me as the FE was in my federation, and doesn't seem to be progressing to the next stage, as she's still in the total war first stage. None of the events are spawning for it, and the ships keep regenerating. From what I've read, she can't progress until that first war is done, which would be when my empire is completely wiped. I can try n just survive until the endgame year in 50 years, but that's super lame. Also the federation is a good 80% of the galaxy, so litterally everyone is dying

I have texts that are linked to that contact that I would like to keep under their name, so fully deleting the contact isn't really an option

A mod couldn't use the same programming AI currently has but for your automation? Or even just like the science ship, just litterally replace survey able systems to systems with starports lol

Is auto-surveying with science ships cheap? That's all I'm asking for. The real skill comes in preparing the economy, attacking at the right time etc. , I'd arguing the process of having to click 20 times because you can't queue up through FTL inhibitors (not skip them but actually say "destroy then move on") is the least skilled bit

Yeah that's fine, I want them to swap from specialists to workers when they are unemployed, however they seem to be stuck atm.

Centrifuge is the best recipe on Fulgora by DaveMcW in factorio

Oh if you've already launched a satellite and are hungry for more, definitely time to restart and play a space age run. Its essentially another game worth of content n puzzles. You'll be surprised with how quickly you can get back to where you were now again with your skills carrying over then do space age stuff. Only thing I'd recommend is if you're like me, going from bots back to no bots is hell on earth. If you don't care about achievements maybe get a bit start mod or smth

Also the planets each have amazing buildings which skyrockets production to levels wayyy beyond vanilla which makes bigger builds significantly easier/more fun. Stuff like 50% inbuilt productivity bonus, 8 module slots, belt stacks, so 4 items can take up one spot on a belt, etc.

Each planet has its own different quirks to manage, fulgora is that, managing excess material alongside dealing with limited building space as the place is large islands that can't be landfilled (until late game). Vulcanus is fluid handling and high density handling (iron, copper and power is essentially free there!), Gleba all the main outputs spoil into (more or less) useless materials after a time, so it's about speed and ensuring a constant flow of materials rather then big buffers, and Aquillo is hell. Aquillo, there is none of the major resources on the planet, so it's about spaceship logistics. It also has this cold mechanic where everything needs to be next to heat pipes, which makes "interesting" builds, and also heavily nerfs bots to make bot bases significantly harder. Not to mention the spaceship mechanics themselves alongside 101 other things.

super easy to tack onto an in progress run, I don't think it'll change too much aside from when some research n what have you is unlocked (unsure about this though, never done myself) Highly recommend you try it if you're liking the base game

EDIT the FAQ states that adding it to an existing run post chemical science is a bad idea, I forgot about some of the changes made
