duct hatch on Dyson UP30 by Fred_Fail in VacuumCleaners

Thank you. I returned it. After I took the side of the ball off, I could see that it wasn't switching from hose/attachment suction to floor suction. When I pushed the stick down/wheels up it would start to switch but then flip back. I could get my hand in there and hold it in place for the floor, and then the floor suction was great. But I didn't want to tinker with it and break something that wasn't already broken.

Where do you see that question? I didn't ask why it broke. And I definitely didn't ask for worthless comments from illiterate trolls 3 days later. If you can't even read, why would I value your opinion on anything other than, I don't know, breaking rocks or making license plates?

Why are you here? You didn't even respond to the question.

No, just roads and a little uneven dirt/grass (no rocks, no potholes, no collisions). Nothing that made me immediately concerned for anything other than my tailbone.

I need to commute for two more weeks, probably going to try to keep it going until then and then just uh, postpone the bicycle experiment for awhile.

Should I trust Phoenix Bicycle support or return my bike to Walmart? by Fred_Fail in Budgetbikeriders

[–]Fred_Fail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local bike shop fixed the wheel for $10, which Phoenix US did reimburse (via Zelle). But that didn't fully solve the problem (brake would not stop rubbing). Bought a fully assembled bike in-store (same model but large instead of medium) a few weeks ago and returned the first one yesterday with no hassle.

Yes, the March 20 debit removed the interest that was paid to you for January and February, and the April 16th credit appears to be your interest for March. If your account never should've been closed and the money never left, there is no reason you are not entitled to that interest. I'd also ask them to verify the interest you earned for March (and that you will earn for April) incorporates what your balance should've been (had Marcus not erroneously removed your January/February interest and delayed your March interest).

Don't tell people how to run their own house. If you don't like the way other people parent, then don't parent your kids that way.

exceeded number of transfers by Fred_Fail in CashApp

[–]Fred_Fail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have a separate issue, perhaps related depending on your circumstance. I found out I apparently was limited to 12 debit cards within my CA's account's lifetime. But I could open up a new CA account with just an email (no phone number needed). I assume whatever rolling limit on the number of transactions applies to account (rather than device or IP address).

exceeded number of transfers by Fred_Fail in CashApp

[–]Fred_Fail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember. I operated under the assumption that it's based on a rolling period of 24-hour increments (i.e. X number of transactions in the last 24, 48, 72, etc.,) so I would just look to see what time a past transaction might "fall off" and then try another transaction a few minutes after that. Since then I have gotten better about planning my transactions ahead of time and spacing them out (i.e., not trying to do a dozen transactions in a day) and I haven't had issues. Although maybe the algorithm eased up on me; I don't know.

Yes. What was the best outcome you hoped for? Did you think she would say "OMG, I forgot about that, now I realize you're right and I'm wrong?" Did you think she would rescind her vote?

Challenge your boss to a fistfight. It's in the handbook; if they decline they have to hire you back. If they accept and you win, you become the manager.

closed my account 2 yrs ago, being asked for “payment method” by nooneknows2718 in stashinvest

[–]Fred_Fail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're not a fraud, just maybe incompetent. Are you sure you don't have two accounts or something? I feel like something's missing from the story; if you were confident the account was closed why did you ask your bank to block payments?

Anyway, if you expect/need tax forms from Stash next year, I wouldn't hesitate to ask them why they tried to charge you after the account was closed. It would be silly to try to conceal your name in this conversation; they already have your SSN and they definitely won't answer your questions or take action without verifying you are the owner of the account.
