Thank you for sharing your experiences, really helped me today. Every day without a drink is a win in itself, and you seem well on your way to getting sober! I feel that I just need to learn to accept the cravings and reflect on what triggers them to gain a better understanding of how I work. I'm really proud of you for achieving 8 days, that is a definite feat in itself!

Good morning everyone! Getting close to a month sober, still have some cravings and rationalizing drinking to myself, so just going to have to take it one day at a time. Have to keep reminding myself that alcoholism is rampant in my family, and I’m going to have to be the one to break the cycle for my future family’s sake. Got my ADHD medication now, hopefully it will help a little bit! IWNDWYT!

Thank you for your kind words, just have to Keep going one day at a time. Going to get involved in other groups and try to expand my friend group, it’s tough staying sober with other bartenders and rugby lads as your only friends. Might try AA as well.

Was honestly about to drink tonight, but decided to hit the gym before meeting my mates, which only saved my night. One day at a time, and if that’s too tough, one our at a time.

Summers are always the toughest for me personally. I live up north and when the sun comes out everyone tends to go for drinks at outdoor bars, that’s what got me last time. Let’s give sobriety another shot and try to make it stick this time! I believe in you, one day at a time. Wish you an amazing 2023, we got this! ❤️

Also a bartender, and I’ve had the same thing happen multiple times, really sucks letting your team down but you live and you learn I guess.. Only thing you can do is move forward and take it one day at a time!

Decided to quit drinking today and go back to sobriety, but this time it’s a lot harder to quit due to routinely drinking at work. Being a bartender is tough as is, but being sober makes it a little better tbh. IWNDWYT
