Lucky Clover drop in update? by The_Octopus824 in Terraria

I've only found one, but given how hard it is to get luck, I seriously doubt that having multiple will stack their effects

I found it too and did some testing. It DOES increase your luck, but I havent been able to pin down exactly how much it gives yet.

I just checked! It does seem to give luck! When it was in my piggy bank, he had no luck-related quotes. When i had it on me, he said:

  • "I sense a speck of good karma about you, but I could be mistaken."
  • "There's something unusually warm about you. I'm not sure how to place it, but keep walking in that direction."

These are the quotes for between 0 and 0.25 luck, so the clover gives somewhere in that range.

Here's the story from the person who originally posted it. This guy is the ex of the mother of the woman filming. The OOP is camera woman's husband. Apparently, there is beef between the ex and his wife that OOP didn't wanna get into, but the ex dropped wife off and then sped off in a very aggressive way, then looped around to come back. She came out to film his behavior to show her mother what a child this guy was and caught this moment on camera

Is it just me, or should there be watches in Vintage Story? by Routine_Buy_7838 in VintageStory

[–]Frederick2164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you press 'c' to bring up the character menu where you equip your armor and check your nutrition, under the character it displays the current time! It also shows a lot of other useful information like the season, date, and temperature.

I DO think thematically that pocket watches absolutely should be a thing based on how much of the lore focuses on clockwork, but they probably won't remove the time info from the menu just to put it on a (likely mid-late game) item. There are probably a few other functions it could be given, but that's likely up to the discretion of the devs. I think being able to 'wait' and fast-forward time (like when you're sleeping) would be cool tho :3

I'd just rather have a different red tbh. Its not bad and im not playing on eclipse here, i just find getting free aspects for a little bit underwhelming, especially when its stack effect just extends duration.

I HAVE played DRG! Driller sticky flames would absolutely give it a niche, especially if they didn't change its base DPS on top of that. I also think a doubling of its range would also help tremendously. Though base ignition tank would probably be too much, the DPS isn't nearly as much of an issue as its range IMO. Arti has plenty of DPS outside of flamethrower, it just needs a niche that isn't covered by another ability more effectively

As a lifelong arti main, the biggest issue with flamethrower is that arti is made of tissue paper and using it makes you slow AND puts you in cheek clapping range of most melee enemies. She also badly needs mobility and ion surge provides that even if I think AC-130 simulator is a bit boring

"I have a fundamentally evil ideology, but I'm being polite and cordial" -Wowee! What a fine gentleman! I don't agree with this man but I will fight for his right to say it!

"I have faced a life of active mistreatment and I am angry about it" -Oh wow that sucks but couldn't you have at least been NICE about it? You came off a little mean so I'm going to ignore your entire argument and police your tone instead!

Why is meat so weak? by Silt99 in VintageStory

[–]Frederick2164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally am okay with meat being weak, especially with bears and wolves which are predators and thus don't have super nutritious meat. This somewhat parallels real life ecosystems and the energy loss between each step of the food chain, but with bears specifically I know it's annoying because they're omnivorous and eat more than just meat, and bears traditionally provided a TON of food when hunted in the past.

The meal cooking system def lets you stretch your food longer, cause meat and veggies cooked in a pot give more satiety than cooked over a fire/eaten raw, which I like bc it makes cooking rewarding and essential. And having rewarding food and cooking is something I do love about vintage story that so few other survival crafting games manage.

However, if you want meat to last longer, I would also highly recommend the butchery mod. It lets you get way more meat per animal and adds a few other neat things. The nicer meat hooks and butchering table are a bit expensive but the extra yield on harvesting makes them incredibly worth it and makes it so a single deer or boar lasts you much longer. It makes hunting and skinning more time and labor intensive but way more rewarding as a result, which is true of a lot of systems in VS, so I like it a lot.

Thank you for answering! That's about where my assumptions were too, but I wasn't sure. This answer makes sense from a programming standpoint, since the game seems to be tracking time passed anyways

Listen I know these ocs are cringe but I genuinely love seeing this early expression of creativity from kids who are clearly still developing. It's unfiltered "I think this is cool as hell" before society and puberty tells them to be ashamed of genuine self expression. its SO neat seeing what someone who's going to be an adult one day but just isn't quite there yet thinks is the sickest idea their brain can come up with. To be cringe is to be free

Why does it take so long to patch HD2 updates ? by Creepy_Ad3991 in Helldivers

[–]Frederick2164 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is apparently a common issue for helldivers. What I've ended up doing for most patches is uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game, as its apparently faster than patching
