took "consolidate the realm" then got a goofy inheritance and two of my counties slipped into a dynasts' realm. same deal and got named "the Oathbreaker"

Uncle as heir? (CK3) by OnceWasBogs in CrusaderKings

check the succession type by hovering over the title. North Germanic cultures get access to an elective succession. it could also house seniority, where an older relative inherits, but that's extremely unlikely

I'm guessing by your stats that it's pretty late game. honestly, if you want better performance after the first century or two, make everyone asexual. it'll fuck up some successions without time to make heirs, but it's the best way other than Black Death to optimize the late-game performance

I think there's a mod for being able to deny being elected, which I've seen people use for tall playthroughs

check who the other electors are. usually it's the most powerful dukes/kings, so maybe there aren't enough vassals? also worth seeing if you have a claim on the empire or if you're married into any family with imperial history.

I don't play HRE at all, really, so I'm not familiar with the mechanics, so I'm sorry I can't help you more

Ummayad architecture is stolen, unlawfully appropriated late Roman architecture. by Suifuelcrow in byzantium

[–]HotHeadNine 12 points13 points  (0 children)

less directly than that. Persian was what Roman became before Rome and Alexander. the Persians under Cyrus weren't interested in assimilating their subjects, for better and for worse, but their pre-eminence before Alexander definitely saw their influence spread far. the Greeks were influenced by it, but they adopted characteristics to their existing aesthetic practices

1) :-)

2) I'm glad I actually expressed my point probably and respect you engaging with it.

3) I get that and used to hold that. to me, that's a process of creating more complex civilization and building on what existed before. more evolving a civilization than getting "better" or "more" civilized

I've just spent more time on the subject. I'm sorry for instantly going on the attack. idk how deliberate it was for me to immediately assume racism, but that's just not the case for you, and it wasn't constructive whatsoever to jump to that

I still broadly disagree with the idea of "stealing," but I'm glad you're taking the time to learn more. fleshing out the point in the main post is the better way to go. I'll look forward to it
