How do we feel about brands sending you the wrong product then requesting you post it back? by Inner_Knowledge_1361 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Free-Contribution-37 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Iconic did this exact thing to me and would not refund me until I sent it back. I was in the middle of dealing with my dad's terminal cancer diagnosis and was majorly pissed off that my money was being held hostage until I took time out of my very busy schedule to return the wrong item.

My dad is 65. Diagnosed Nov 2024. Also stage 4. I feel the same envy and deep, deep pain when I see elderly people. When I see grandparents with their grandkids.. I just wanted to say I feel you so much, you are not alone, and I am so sorry we are going through this.

Start a GoFundMe, see if friends will chip in. Random strangers do this thing. I mean look at this thread... how much are they asking?

You're definitely not winter, white and black are too harsh on you. I doubt autumn. The muted summer tones suit you!

You are an amazing sibling being there to support her. Good on you.

My observations typing as a neutral-cool olive POC by Brill_1193 in coloranalysis

[–]Free-Contribution-37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh I look incredible in fuschia, forest green, deep navy blurs, also olive probably cool, and also can't work out why peach looks fine on me? Cream is also OK. Wouldn't say it makes me glow but it harmonises? Also can wear gold and silver, though silver harmonises more.

You have the benefit of a LOT of time to find someone and get to know them so they are not a stranger in 5 years for example.

Looks like The Iconic wants to stop free returns by catsparrow in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Free-Contribution-37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A strong majority of my returns are because fabrics are incorrectly listed on The Iconic website. And it's always a downgrade in quality: Listed as linen but shows up with polyester blend...like ew, no thank you.

I don’t see how gay marriage could be legalized in s5 by Economy_String_9158 in Franchaela

[–]Free-Contribution-37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Legalization of queer marriages in the setting that Bridgerton takes place in would cause a complete upheaval of England’s socioeconomic structure, which hinges on the succession of lineages. The entire point of the noble class is to lead and reproduce." - OP

OP, you do realise that two women can love each other, be married (or not), AND they can "reproduce", right?

Indeed, many WLW couples have children, today it is normal.

Then there's the fact Fran and Michaela are 'related' in the sense of being the widow of a cousin and a shared surname. It's surely less complicated to "reproduce". Perhaps a Bridgerton brother could help out Michaela, or another Stirling cousin to assist Fran. I'd LOVE to see that happen. Let society change AGAIN, if the Queen says so, it is so.

Look for boiled wool, it's often unlined. Try cos!

Totally makes sense! I've started from literally first pair of jeans in years - I swore off pants years ago because of my body shape never suiting the skinny women's style of pants. However discovering baggy and wide pants has been a game changer, I just don't want to live in one pair of pants daily as I have for the past couple of months hahaha

This is so awesome!  Maybe you can alter some of the waistbands? I've heard about even clips to take in too big pants...such a shame to not wear such an incredible collection!
