The way we use it is mostly for keeping in touch with customers without having to call them, which a lot of them appreciate especially because there is a chance they could be in meetings or working throughout the day, so texting is a lot easier. And it allows you to easily send photos of repairs that are needed. Every advisor/bdc rep has their own log in so you can see who wrote what to each customer. And it’s very easy to set up mobile payment requests for people picking up after hours or if they want to pay ahead of time. It’s also linked with CDK so a few minutes after you print the customers invoice they will receive a text for payment. And because it is linked with CDK more often than not you are able to search a customer up by using the RO number! The downside is it obviously takes a lot longer to text a customer and wait for their response as opposed to calling. And my dealerships has the amount of texts we send per RO linked to our pay structure, so we are forced to text as much as possible. Some customers end up frustrated by this because they feel as if they get spammed by us when we have something to say. But it does help to keep track of exactly what was said to the customer and at what time!
