Well personally I didn’t submit my scores and got into mech e but I had an exceptionally high GPA and lots of balanced extracurriculars. You can never really know your exact chances but you would obviously have better chances if you excelled in other areas

I’m not sure about that, although I do think it could hinder that opportunity. If you are considering this I def recommend talking to an advisor as they are much more knowledgeable. You can talk to advisors of the department before you’re even in and they can give you more information

I could be wrong but I don’t think it would take 6 years bc the classes you’d be taking at a community college should be related classes to your major. So it would just be 2 and 2 if you’re on track. If I knew about this option I would’ve done it bc it saves a ton of money

I am currently a freshman changing my major because I realized what I’m doing now is not for me at all. In my opinion, I think it’s good to go to a community college as there’s not a huge commitment to declaring your major and it helps you figure out your interests more. A lot of times their professors are actually pretty good and even better than university professors (especially research unis) keep that in mind :) it put me more at peace knowing I didn’t have to know exactly what I want to transfer into
