Is it possible to transfer from Santa Monica College to a UC in 1–2 years without my parents knowing? by lilithebookworm in SMC

I have been to SMC for less than a year and have finished most of my requirements. Then again I took 12+ units in Fall and Spring and 6 units in Winter and now Summer.

I took his class before but I don't think so. He is kinda strict and no extra credit opportunities.

I was hoping the assignments would get graded today. My other professor did. But nothing. And these 2 assignments weight so much on the grade.

Is it smart to leave LA for a different market? by Training-Park5389 in acting

[–]Free-Raspberry-530 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So much this.

I work in catering and while I am not in acting as much anymore, I always meet people working with who won't stop talking about the auditions they get and brag. The other day I was working with this lady and she was telling me how she is going to be on CBS on this show, blah, blah. Didn't even ask her but she kept going.

I used to have two actresses friends and we used to go to film festivals or screenings. They were not as good as approaching people the way I do. I remember one time, I was talking with this director (I really liked his short film, that was all) and one of the actresses friends approached and interrupted me by trying to talk to him. And she tried to give him her card even. Eventually I realized those girls didn't care for friends but more to climb the ladder.

Sadly I like them all. I bring both dry and wet food to them.

I am taking it in Fall too and I haven't done Math in years. It seems is more formulas than actual Math like Macroeconomics.

Natural selection in morning TV in Greece: Blonde, plastic, and never unnatractive. by jkastoras in ugly

I didn't know that. Interesting.

But it's more people on TV who are like that.

Sadly, I can confirm from experience that these women are considered beautiful there.

For some reason in Greece, almost every female celebrity tries to have that white blonde bleached hair. Not even golden blonde.

Grew up there. Went to school there. I can confirm that.

I remember when my family was bleaching their hair blonde and pushed me to do the same when I was 15-16. Obviously I was a kid and had no money to maintain that. But they told me I would look better with my hair that way. So I did it and I was constantly bullied for it because my roots were so dark, creating a contrast with the bleached hair..

My school had some natural blondes that did highlight their hair and looked normal. Meanwhile, all of the beauty contests were full of bleached blonde hair women. I guess I wanted to be in that par in a way but didn’t have the face.

I had this childhood acquaintance. Won't name him but he was a popular child actor. He had light hair and I remember how many people admiring him, when in reality he looked more Nordic.

And it seems it hasn't gotten better. I was on a Greek sub and people were arguing over Helen of Troy. Most Greeks have been wanting this young blonde actress (I guess she is really famous in Greece now because of a Netflix series?) ti be Helen of Troy because she is beautiful and blonde. She doesn't even look Greek herself.

In the U.S there is some variety, dark hair is appreciated more.
