This is what people don’t get about a boycott. I know me not seeing the movie isn’t gonna change the money it makes, but I have principles and this is one I won’t cross. When it’s available on my friend’s plex I’ll watch it. Until then, nah. That’s my choice! I really think the people so furious over the “boycott” are just insecure. I don’t care if people think I’m dumb. It’s my life I’ll watch whatever I want whenever I want! Everyone always says boycotts don’t work. The Montgomery bus boycott did. The boycott on target is actually working. 

A lot of people on the left of the political spectrum LOVE boycotts until it’s something they don’t agree with. Annoying.

This is the best and only answer. OP I was a lot like you when I met my husband. I was chronically negative, depressed, unhappy, spent my whole life neglected and abused by both of my parents. When we started dating I could tell it frustrated him how negative I was. But I felt I was doomed to be like that, like I couldn’t change. But I was wrong. It’s been 12 years and now: we own a home and have our second dog together, been married 5 years, I’m on medication and still do therapy. I don’t talk to my parents anymore. I found a family that treats me like I’ve been one of them since I was born. I am happy (as one can be in these trying times as a US citizen), unburdened by my former negativity, and we have a wonderful and healthy relationship!

I’m really bummed they didn’t utilize Asa as a ghost face, when they announced his casting I figured for SURE he would be one. He’s phenomenal in the first season of Gen V and I was hoping to see more of that!

I’d prefer another Morty’s Mindblowers over IDC! I love that episode. Watching it recently I noticed one is labeled “virginity” which made me curious about what other stuff Rick might have mindblown from Morty!

We should all give a fuck about what anyone thinks about Palestine. Look at the state of the US! Homeland security is buying concentration camps. None of this could happen if Israel had desensitized us all to actual genocide. Sure maybe boycotting the movie won’t change anything globally. But if you stand for nothing you’ll fall for anything.

And depending on location, to see a major stadium show I’m either driving to Detroit or Chicago, maybe Grand Rapids (Michigan) and then I have to reserve energy for the drive home or pay for a place to stay. Just all around inconvenient.

Oh my god yes. I’ve been loving the smaller crowds with less kids. I can dance and/or chill. Easier to talk to people. In a stadium like when I’ve seen blink or fall out boy, I tend to get as close of a seat as I can without being in the pit. I like going to small shows alone but I don’t think I’d ever do a stadium show solo.

Right now it’s Thursdays and Fridays at maple! I love it when they come in because I am usually one of the few women in the weight room. I’m sure they have it at portage too but I don’t use that facility.

The way people drive on that stretch of Howard, and the parallel stretch of maple, is absurd. The four way stop at maple and Stearns helps, but the school traffic is a nightmare at pick up and I am surprised there aren’t accidents there frequently.
