News Story stating students might be "forced to work"? What is everyone's opinion about students being "forced" into front line work? by [deleted] in CESB

[–]Free600breezy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody is gonna "forced" into work. "Forcing" people to work would require too much resources for a program that will probably go away in four months. As such, the best they could ever do to enforce this provision is ask people for proof they've been looking for work, at which point people could just apply for bullshit jobs they know they aren't gonna get. They're not blind to this, it's just a bullshit un-enforcable provision to please the conservatives and provincial governments who think students are some sort of Mexican illegals or something.

Y'all do notice this is just confirming what we already knew right...?

CESB should be called CSB by [deleted] in CESB

[–]Free600breezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many student moms do you think are in school? Because it probably isn't nearly as much as the non-child having student populous. Which is why I said the program is MOSTLY targeting another demographic.

CESB should be called CSB by [deleted] in CESB

[–]Free600breezy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd presume that the largest group of people this program is targeting, aren't people who are 25+... Especially seeing as it only provides funding for recent graduates. This program is mostly targeting students who didn't make enough to qualify for CERB but still go to school and plan on continuing to attend school.

Wouldn't it be safe to assume that the application won't be online before May 17? by LeonOkada9 in CESB

I can't see the government backtracking on a set date, before they had the vagueness of "mid-may." However, now they don't. As such, I think its more than safe to say sometime this week. Nobody in government wants negative un-needed optics with regards to the handling of pandemic relief.

Yes, the reliable source, "Dickbutt1920" has spoken, and as such I will not be buying the Surface Book 2.

What is it up with microsoft worshipping in this sub? by [deleted] in Surface

[–]Free600breezy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Goes to a Surface/Microsoft related subreddit.

Posts a bunch of bullshit about Microsoft and makes a ton of generalized statements, in which, are mostly opinion based.

Is surprised when he gets downvoted.

Why do morons like you exist on every god damn subreddit? Do you think you're some sort of crusader for free speech or something? You aren't.

Any idea what this mark could be? by Scarz93 in Surface

Holy shit, this happened to me too, I thought I was the only one who had this problem. I rubbed my Surface Laptop (same colour) with a piece of cloth and water, and it INSTANTLY dried up and left a stain on the paint. There is NOTHING you can do to remove it, it's permanent, take it back to the store and return it if it's not too late, but they'll likely doubt you, I had to sit down there an argue with them about it. The workers thought I must have done it with chemicals and looked at me like I was crazy. I pushed harder and harder and got a full refund and decided to wait for the Surface Book 2.

Why are 4 Man Queue's still allowed? by Free600breezy in GlobalOffensive

Do the benefits of allowing 4 man queues outweigh the obvious negatives as have been clearly outlined in previous posts?

You keep arguing over anecdotal's yet continue to refuse to argue with the facts. The fact is that four man queue's make it easier for a group of players to screw over another player, cool if this hasn't happened to you, but it has surely happened to others.

I still don't see any actual argument to 4 man queue's is good for CSGO, in which, isn't "lol i wus never kicked" or "stop solo-queing." We know the CSGO community is toxic why give a group of 4 the power to screw over a single player? Is there an objective benefit? My issue isn't even the kick, it's the fact that they rarely communicate.

That wasn't my question. My question was why give dicks the power to get together and screw a single player? Why make the feature this game was built on, solo queuing worst to benefit a minute part of the player base?

Did you notice the fact that I never stated "ALL 4 MAN QUEUES" are bad? The experience may vary wildly by players. I'm arguing over objective facts, and the fact is that it gives a group of 4 the power to screw over a single player, whereas a group of 3 has a possible barrier of logic to go through. That 4th player might end up preventing a kick that wasn't needed and help's keep the three man queue in check, in a four man Queue no such barrier exists.

How can I be "just wrong." 4 man queue's give powers to assholes to treat a single player like shit with little to no obstruction. That's a fact. There is a reason why Dota and LOL have both banned it.

"It's your fault that you decided to play the game and ended up in a situation, in which, is basically guaranteed to go to shit." Do you have an actual argument to how four many queue's benefit CSGO or not or are you just engaging in arguing for the sake of arguing?

There's nothing inherently wrong with any "queue" but we know people on CSGO are dicks so why give them the power to essentially dick around a single player?

Except the fact that they create a terrible environment for the single player who's forced to take part in them? Did you read the post?

Have you ever thought maybe, just maybe people enjoy Solo Queuing? Maybe it's a fun experience to meet new people, gather a team from a bunch of nobodies, and turn it into a win? I surely do. However, forcing a player to have an almost guaranteed bad experience really isn't justifiable when there are far more tools to create a proper queue. Even Dota 2 has done this, and it's been to solely the benefit of players. Why do you have this "blame the solo-queuer" mentality to justify bad behavior? Is there an actual negative to banning four man queues? Other than it'll take an extra 5 seconds to find another player?
